Considering every domina that didn’t have a toilet scene had it get voted for in their polls when they added scenes I’d bet they added it to Hora ahead of time so it wouldn’t need to get voted for again.
Ok so we have Narcissa, Rosita, and Fran with Scat.
I get Domina is a "hardcore" game but Jesus Christ it's Scat.
It's a fetish about lumps of digested matter that only microbes can really consume, we have an inherent disgust for poop because it barely has any nutrition and it attracts possibly dangerous microbes, but we have so much of it in the game, probably because Scat is an absurdly niche fetish so it's included as an option.
I'll give Deka credit for making it obvious and optional, for Narcissa at least I've just started Rosita.
This is an issue I've seen with quite a few Adult Games, by trying to appeal to many and turning away quite a few. I mean it's one of the reasons NTR is so hated in doujins and hentai, because your just enjoying yourself with your nice vanilla hentai with a big dicked MC who looks like an extra in anything that isn't an ecchi or hentai, then some fat old man comes in and rapes the female character. On paper your satisfying both audiences by giving the what they want but in practice the vanilla boys are angry at getting cockblocked and the NTR gang have to trudge through half the damn thing to find what they want.
While Domina doesn't suffer from this issue as much thanks to a combination of the game giving the player an expectation of things to come with BDSM being the most mild fetish in the game, and the offending content being optional. It does suffer from the issue that the NTR fans have in my sterotypical doujin of needing to avoid or trudge through the stuff they don't like to find what they do like, but in Hentai games this is a worse problem than Doujins because you need to play the game to get to the content, so if you aren't into scat you have to trudge through to actually find something you like.
But you what an issue with Domina is, you can't fight previous Dominas, so if the current domina has content you don't like you need to load a save or start a new game to get to that Domina, and for a JRPG even a short one like this that's a pain in the ass.

I don’t really see the issue with the game having scat since it’s optional. I find it absolutely disgusting but I also know it wouldn’t have won every poll if there weren’t a decent amount of people into it. I simply ignore it.

While some of the scat scenes being added was due to patreon votes, the inclusion of the fetish in the game had almost nothing to do with the patreons. Even Dek's previous game had scat content and refrences to scat before Domina was made. Game developers make games for many different reasons, some for the money while others as an outlet for their own fantasies. We all want money to survive, but there are very few who would add content into our creations we don't like just to get more money. Its also easy to tell when a fetish has been added by a creator without having the fetish themselves. I may have a partial fetish for feet, but it would be easy to tell any foot fetish scenes I would make wouldn't have the same passion behind it another foot fetish fan would have. Also, while scat isn't a massively popular fetish, its at least fully optional. Some of the scenes in the game are not, and they can be more hardcore than scat. You haven't met the domina that is the most contraversial if you have only made it to Rosita. You got canibals, plague spreaders, and extreme torturers, but pretty much every domina in the game wants to not only kill the MC, but also harm his loved ones and destroy the world. Taboo wouldn't be the word I would use to describe this games content.
Another note, I have no idea why people keep forgetting that ToT isn't a femdom and foot fetish game. You can even see the genre in the title "Tower of Trample: A Reverse Ryona Game." There are many foot fetish scenes and its what probably gave me a partial foot fetish, but its mainly about females brutally beating up males. Its the reason why there are some pretty brutal beatings that the MC takes. Over time its become more femdom focused than reverse ryona, but even now they are still having a large focus on reverse ryona.
As someone who enjoys the toilet stuff I apologize for some of the unskippable stuff like Rosita's attacks, Narcissa's toxic lactation (also breast milk fan but thats less offensive ig?)
And whatever other unskippable content exists, I think deka should bury some of the more extreme fetishes a little better so you have to deliberately go out of your way to encounter them

It’s actually how nearly every Dominas have virtually the same content (minus 1 or 2 and then have like one that isn’t as often used) and the way it is written and shown, making all the Dominas pretty much interchangeable.
All Dominas (except Raa to my knowledge) have scat. Does it make Raa better tho? Well, poor writing and lack of content point to "Not really".
Domina suffers from bad writing, no Domina being really unique, poor gameplay overall (where you can break the game simply by blowing some air on it), etc. Etc.
Look at games like ToT or Katalist. Their dominas have a lot of common fetishes, but most of them will focus on a particular type of. Not only that, but they’ll also have interactions about the way you lose or been victim of said fetishes. Which is a thing Domina doesn’t do.
Dekarous goes out with no direction for his games and it shows. Domina feels like a tech demo for Katalist. Which is preposterous because isn’t Katalist older and technically has lower budget from Patreons?
All I’m saying is… When there’s scat content being revealed, please don’t act like your expectations are being shattered. You should already have low expectations to begin with as you’re just waiting for the same old shit every update. It’s the Dekarous way. Always has been, always will be.

I mean when you actually get to Rosita you are so OP that it's barely there before you beat her in like 2 mins.As someone else already pointed out the main problem in my eyes as well is the writting after the first 4 went down the "toilet" and probably focusing on every domina having every possible fetish is to appease those that just want those scenes.If each domina had specific preferences and better writting I don't think anyone would have a problem with scat content.It just devolved into "We want to destroy the world and your family (for some reason)" and that's all there is to it anymore.Katrina had a minor convo about how she wants to prove she's stronger than the rest and was making that potion for that reason,it's a small detail but it adds to character development and reasons.1 sided characters will always kill off a story,ofc they want to destroy and reshape the world that's fine but having nothing else beyond that is the problem in my eyes.
Ok thanks for clarifying, and while I always assumed Deka was into this shit, It's good to have an idea that Deka is more someone who is into the things his patrons are and it's just Deka makes stuff that they both like.
I'm not sure why the scat being optional is being brought up, since it was something I gave Deka credit for. My honest thoughts on The optional Scat content in Domina is that Deka could of spent that time on something else. Franz is hated because of how extreme her content is but would she still be hated if you could skip those scenes, or the game was made in a way that it was more like Narcissa and that they are punishments? Personally I think that while adding a skip button for scenes just in case you don't like a required scene or just in case you misclick on a optional scene would improve the game, it still doesn't change the fact that Franz sucks and her content is something people want to skip, for people into guro Franz is great for everyone else it sucks. That's the issue with the Scat content making it takes away from other content that people want, every scat scene could of been something else. Now that attitude sounds entitled, and it is but it is an attitude most people have most just think it, whenever something people like does something they don't they get annoyed, for example Skyrim may be a popular game and many Elder Scrolls fans enjoyed it, many weren't happy about the changes Skyrim made to levelling, attributes, and skills. Some played the game enjoyed it and merely preferred the old system, other fans consider it one of Skyrim's major flaws and dislike the game because of it, while comparing game mechanics to fetishes in a porn game might not be one-to-one comparison I believe it gets the point across about how even if some people like a thing they might have issues with it that other people consider positives. Being fair to Deka with this being a subjective issue the best he can't really completely fix the issue since no matter what he does people are gonna be angry, but there are a few ways he can minimize it.
-Make it optional, which he does for scat at least.
-Add a skip button, because speeding through a scene that's meant to be long enough to get your rocks off to with pictures isn't going to prevent the player from being disgusted.
-Add a Gallery, or Area that let's you re-fight previous Dominas. One of the reasons I think everyone is complaining about the Scat content now and looking back fondly on the older Dominas is that you can't revisit the older Dominas, you just have to keep a save file on hand if you want to jack it in a porn game.
-Development Speed, when you take several months to update a game that's made in a engine that exist primarily as a way for people wonder why snakes are in a discussion about programming when you mention Python, each update is a relatively simple "Dungeon" with some cookie cutter enemies and a big boss, and the art is shitty anime art, that doesn't even have the excuse of being rushed for animation. People are probably going to be pissed off that they waited months for a tiny "Dungeon", centered around a boss that can be easily defeated due to how broken the game is, with the only thing stopping you from winning being some Scripted BS (Mary), or wanting to experience the content. Players are going to be pissed off that the thing they came for isn't for them when they waited so long. Quicker development would make it so people don't have inflated expectations and don't feel cheated, if things are done quick enough content can even be added to Domina's the community doesn't like so angry players at least have something for the more Taboo (to clarify I'm using this for the sake of Neutrality) Dominas.
I would of included this in the first reply but that was getting long, but my guy I read your point on ToT and I can't understand why you think that way. How is Reverse Ryona not Femdom? Moy point about ToT is that it mainly focused on a general fetish like Femdom that encompasses things like Reverse Ryona. I can understand disputing the Foot fetish focus because Reverse Ryona is certainly the most focused on specific fetish in the game with feet coming under it. Pretty sure she didn't, but I did only play her once, got bored and forgot she existed, so I doubt it.
Also Deka did go back and add Scat scenes to Madeline and the Green Goblin. Madelin's is short but insanely hot, and Green Gobbos was just written in such a disturbing way, it's not even smut.
Frankies scat scene is the most hard-core, but at least he was trying something new and pushing buttons and boundaries, which is respectable, whereas the Twins were just sad and pathetic and read more like a wiki article than smut.
I get that it can get hard to find new ways of describing a character eating shit from a hot girl, but it's a fantasy game with an immortal mc, the whole point should be to push boundaries since you're writing about scat anyway.
Katrina, Narcissa and Rosita all have very unique scat scenes, and all are wonderfully written. The only glimpse of that quality we've gotten lately was Madeline's few scat paragraphs.

Green Goblin was fourth, didn't have a scat scene.

Twins were seventh, had a scat scene, tough might as well didn't.
That is every second. I don't understand why this is a hard concept to grasp.
After the Twins there was a massive content drought so in the months before releasing Ra, the 8th domina, also without a scat scene, Dekarous went back and added a scat scene to Madeline, Green Goblin and Frankie, they're all single scenes, and can be easily avoided and missed.
