I'm also stuck in the first town, I've already gotten a bad end out of it and talked to just about every npc. I got nothing.
I've officially talked to every NPC in the village that I can find and got nothing. They keep mentioning other places, but I can't go anywhere else.

Okay, I found it. The NPC you have to talk to is a moth girl in the basement of the Casino...because of course it is. She tells you to talk to the owner, who only then you can ask. 10/10 game design. I love moon logic.

Go to casino at the second floor, then speak with every girl on the right side, and next speak with casino owner (green haired girl)

you can integrate previous title and play both game as one, also you can use save from previous title
