There really needs to be someone with english as a proficient language to go through this.
The amount of times Donne is referred to as he is higher than it really should be.

When that's been said, it's an interesting story, hope that we'll see it continued.

You could try to go full psychologist on them and there's a lot to unpack there or just assume the dev doesn't want to make that path and ends the story that way so people won't ask for it. I'd assume the later.
