RPGM - Downfall: A Story of Corruption [v0.13.0] [Aperture Studio]

This is a Good example of a NOT GOOD CORRUPTION Game, Other devs should play this Game just to get a idea of how to avoid this kind of silly storylines for corruption, it just doesn't make sense. I gave it three stars, only because the MC is hot af, and the graphics is decent. Although most of the end-game fapable content isn't even available, so DO consider that before playing this game.

This game has some of the stupidest corruption paths I have seen. Friends mom lets you clean house, to get money. Makes you wear a maid outfit, and change in the middle of the hallway..... Next door neighbor gives you drugged tea.. So everyone in this game is apparently a moron.

I loves this game till the end !!

MC is one heck of a master piece. Worth your time.

A bit grindy but it directs towards slow corruption. Tons of characters and sub quests. You have a choice of course whether to be a part of the corruption of deny accepting any requests which in most cases will end the quest

Starts with promise then goes into some "Corruption" paths which are unbelievably crazy. If as a developer, you choose to go onto the most superfluous path to corrupt your MC, then at least the dialogues must sustain the tone of the game. Unfortunately nothing here is appealing, if i dare stay although the MC is hot

All in all, its a poor game. Amid the long wait for updates which are never substantial to the plot nor our patience.

The game and the story itself are good, however, some incomplete stories and the delay in releasing new versions ends up making the game boring. Whenever a new version comes out so much time has passed that it's hard to remember the context of the game.

Rather enjoyable game specially for rpgm which aren't usually my thing.

Not really a corruption game, too many odd scenarios that mc must complete. Just going through the main story and a few side quests not enough to finish game.

Suspended disbelief is not enough for this game, it is just a really dumb story

this is simply just a poor corruption game.

i played some of these, this is definitely the worst one i've played in the genre... every situation is a boring common idea of some other game.. but done in a worse way... of course it has the usual ugly bastards, and old people. in fact most of the people are like that.

the game had good premise, even you will be promised some bdsm stuff when you visit your neighbours. but it's just super boring. H-scenes are still pictures in different poses. really really uncreative. the dev managed to find to turn every interesting sexual trope into a boring one.

even the gallery is 1/10 completed, only 1 route is completed.. ofc with one of the most disgusting ones, with the old guy.

this game is just bad. it will never be good, because the dev has no talent or skill in this stuff. if you never played any corruption games or you can't find any game to play with then i guess this can be a good time waster, but you probably won't be able to fap to it anyway cuz scenarios are just so boring.

plus the skipping is very slow. everyone keeps calling you a slut. it's like it was written by a virgin 19year old. gl if you want to try it.

its not a game, really. even if its packaged as one.
if you don't select "YES" to everything u get stuck.
yes, "stuck". meaning u can continue the game, theres nothing to do.
so, why give me options when they lead to a "infinite" loop where I can't do anything except some repeatable maid work that gives me 10$.
again, this is a RPGMV game, u walk around, interact with NPC.
u "think" its open-world, where u can decide how u play, but its not. u need to do the right choices in the right order or u get stuck or u find a BUG and u see content "before" u did something else (the barmaid/warehouse issue).
the model of the girl is OKISH. but shes not that HOT. in the game it seems like shes a 10, but my taste shes like a 7. nothing to get happy about.
render quality is mediocre. maybe it was good 3 years ago but with the technology of today it feels outdated. the RPG maps are ok, well done, music is not irritating so ok as well. quest and colors also ok, so in that aspect the game pass.
But gameplay/story is buggy and u NEED to pick YES to everything or u get stuck. theres a CHEAT u can use. BUT COME ON. do I need to cheat to play this game? I cheat when I don't care anymore, when I have played it and want to mess it up, but not when I want to follow a story and enjoy it. so its a BIG NO here. its a disaster. DEV need to fix this PRONTO.

Downfall is an uninteresting game so far. The story and its main character are plain and simple, boring and poorly written. Just a quick collection of tropes that lead to quick sex scenes with no real development nor real corruption, she just gets a choice and quickly falls into it or chooses not to. No character development, no slow downward spiral or anything appealing in it.

Render quality is decent, but not incredible. And as far as I got, sex scenes had no animations and mostly no sound, just some renders with poorly written descriptions of the events that fail to create any arousal. At least I found no bugs and both navigation and quest following are simple, which is nice in an RPGM game.

But, all in all, it's just simply not worth the time when there are other better games out there.

Absolutely fantastic game for those who enjoy corruption! The game gets down and dirty very quickly, but still allows you to see the character's decent along the way. Plenty of fetishes, plenty of 'oh I can't believe I'm doing this', delicious vulgarity, reluctance (not quite as much as one might expect, still has the 'oh this is bad - but suddenly I love it!' which tends to feel a bit off.. but not as much as most), good art (not 'top of the line' but better then most).. and just a lot of fun.

If I had to critique anything, a lot of stuff happens in the evening (fighting for the same time-slot) while leaving some of the day empty. Also, while I love that it tells you when content is done (why doesn't every unfinished game do this?) it feels like it misses that on some story lines. Its a minor thing but had me continuing to check things a bit more often then needed for finished content. But its a minor thing for an early game.

Even though this game is a pretty early version at the time I'm playing it, its quickly become one of those that I'll be checking for updates very very often. Totally worth checking out!

first things first i have to give this game 5 stars
but i think i am a little biased cause i had such a good time playing it

pro:
-RPG fits this game really well but i like RPG in the first place
yes you dont have to battle anyone but the freeroam/sandbox is good in
RPG

- the quest with neigbours are my absolute favorite

- the images are really good


con:

- some minor spelling errors are in there
- as of v. 0.11 there is a bug with the massage quest and it conflicts with the maid outfit but that is minor if you change before going downstairs

- i dont know if i should consider this a con point because i might just be
impatient. for the most part MC is at the stage of giving BJ's and not
actually fucking most of them. but since it is a corruption game it is good
that she doesnt go around fucking everyone from the start.


not really con either but just tipps for improvment if dev might see it:

toys would be a nice addition:
- at home: there she can be surprised by some of her family
- in the park
- maybe a plug with that short skirt ( but i am an ass man myself)

An absolutely amazing game. So far I only have one complaint about the whole experience, I wish the side quest involving hypnotism actually had a sex scene, because it takes hours to get more than just some molestation and blowjob scenes.
The characters and story are all top notch. Game play is simplistic enough it doesn't distract from the sexy bits, and there's enough freedom that RPGMaker makes sense as a medium. It's not a VN that is just disguised as an exploration game. Although, most options are pointless. Why would you make a decision in a sex game to not have sex? So there is a decision to be made on when to do things, but there isn't really a decision with how the story plays out (unless you just want to blue ball yourself).
The pacing of the corruption is also really good, there are some minor inconstancy's in the earlier part of the game, but I wouldn't really say it's an issue in any sense
Overall it's still an amazing game, just don't go into it thinking your choices really matter.

Somehow I missed this until now, one of a handful of great slowburn corruption games on here. Probably about a dozen or so hours of content right now. I hope the dev makes another game when this one is done.

In summary, great game of a hot but realistically looking female MC with excellent progression pace and several kinks/fetishes to explore, this game really needs a lot more attention! Good job and godspeed to the dev!

A good game with nice build up.. Only wish the Developer included animation as well. Would have been an easy 5 on 5.

The Mc looks hot and gorgeous. The corruption is slow but not dead slow. The sound also is great during sex but the lack of animation is disappointing. The story easily beats games like inside Jennifer, but inside Jennifer had decent animation as well.. Hopefully the Dev includes them.

Reviewing version 0.10:

I honestly couldn’t help but give this game 5 stars because seriously giving it 4 stars is not fair! So, if not 5, at least 4.8.

I saw this game a few times and honestly, it didn’t pull me because at first, I wasn’t very impressed with the screenshots and the banner that is being used, but now that I have downloaded it and tried it, boy was I impressed! The corruption progression is very reasonable, so it is not a slow burn and not that “turns into a slut in two days”, it is just right! And the best thing is that while there is a “stat” or so to speak, you don’t really grind, you just follow questlines and each step has a different scenario or scene that gives a point in said stat. You can tell the Dev has put their heart into this, and especially that they’re giving players options for multiple outfits! With how RPGM and Renpy work and everything has to be pre-rendered, it takes some really serious work!

The setting and the story are serviceable and enough to get things going. And from where this is going, I can see there are lots of adventures for the MC and they seem promising!

Other generally positive things about the game:

• The MC is quite hot, realistically curvy, although I don’t mind unrealistic curves and proportions, but I get the charm of the MC being super-hot while also close to reality
• I really like the MCs facial expression when she thinks to herself
• The Dev has given the option of a “virgin” playthrough I think? Which I know some people can enjoy, of course I am not playing the game for that though, lol
• The amount of content and fetishes / kinks are good, especially for a 0.10, and there is a lot more coming!
• The quest journal is really helpful in guiding the player and the dev is kind enough to mention when the content of a certain quest is finished for the current update
• The game’s quality is improving with releases as far as I noticed, at first I felt the scenes lacked “impact”, but as I progressed through the game, more effects are being added and even the overworld is being improved and I noticed improvements in the graphics
• The amount of dialogue is just right, so it is not too long that it would make you impatient and wanna skip through it.
• I hardly encountered any bugs or glitches, except one in which a character’s name was displayed wrongly, but that’s about it!

Now that the good is out of the way, I will mention what’s lacking and/or could be improved:

• There are no animations at all in the game, especially in the beginning it is all still images, some scenes later have shifting images, but honestly, I can understand animations are hard to implement, so seeing that later scenes in the quests are getting shifting images is a step in the right direction
• It would be nice to have an option to skip time from somewhere other than Jane’s bed, maybe through the menu, or sitting in the park or something, or a teleport to room option
• A character portrait when you open the menu would be nice too, as there is so much unused space in the right side of the menu, and it would be nice if her expression gets more sensual / lewd, the higher depravity stat, just a suggestion here

And lastly, the only part I didn’t enjoy so much in this game and felt its progression was a bit weird is Mr. Gilbert’s, but that’s just my personal opinion and doesn’t harm the score of the game for me.

In summary, great game of a hot but realistically looking female MC with excellent progression pace and several kinks/fetishes to explore, this game really needs a lot more attention! Good job and godspeed to the dev!

I love everything bout this Game.

Since Im most RPG fan (but I hate grinding too much and this game dosent have) this is great.

I love model girl.
I love action and her storyline.
Interaction with family neighbors and others.
Updates are little delayed but its ok more less considering others games milking even more months per 1 update, I can give 3 stars to this 1.
5 Overall cause everything else is very playable and enjoyable not boring as I say - not grinding either.

I tried this back on its first update or two, and found it a very typical, over the top, no-frills corruption game, mildly amusing if you're seriously into the genre, but forgettable. Not sure why I tried it again -- the fact that it kept getting updated, despite the short shelf life of these, normally? -- and wow:

• the product values have improved and keep improving. For example, the scene with the

  was shot with far more care than the genre deserves.
• The main character is the best compromise of realistic and attractive that I've seen in my last 20 games
• the main plot -- while breathtakingly thin on believability (personally, I think a vast corporation that casually does her wrong and then ignores her is even scarier and more real than an executive that keeps hounding her like a jilted ex) -- is fleshed out carefully in lots of fun ways, like the factory job and

• The side plots are, of course, ludicrous -- par for the genre -- and with .9 we're getting into some cliche areas for h-games, like waitressing, but again, they're explored very carefully (e.g., age kink, trust in shrinks, etc., and other reasons why these situations happen -- or, at least, are sought out in fiction -- besides the usual excuse of science-fiction levels of "lust"). The depth doesn't make things, well, believable, per se, but at least not total cringe.

There are a couple cracks showing. I thought her mental progression got way out of hand in the factory. The very slow corruption progress has her only up to oral sex as of .9, yet her shame level has basically vaporized completely, especially (by orders of magnitude) in the factory, where she's suddenly -- by choice -- nothing but a slightly picky prostitute (and it really was an abrupt shift. What the heck happened while developing the update when she got her new clothes? It's like she had a mind break. I remember thinking the Such a missed moment! If I was the dev, I'd even go back and rewrite that scene to be more forced and ashamed.) While I'm on the topic of the clothes update, what the heck with the second outfit? From shorts/tank top she could have worn to church to a bimbo microskirt? The black one is good but the other is cringy, imho.

I think shame is what makes corruption games work, and usually, reaching zero shame is where a game runs out of gas and jumps the shark into ludicrous extreme sex/etc. So to have her -- sober and under no duress -- going full-slut without even progressing past oral sex is a little baffling. This is most notable in the factory, but also the bar where she's going to start "working." There could have been a lot of ways to work up to this, like the MC and boss getting forced into pretending a few times, or her having to play escort all the way a few times before decorating biker bars.

The corruption cycle as I understand it is: 1) start out believing she'd never fall, 2) when tested, make hard rules for herself, 3) be pushed past the rules by external circumstances (not personal weakness), 4) reluctantly enjoy (or not, depending on how dark the game is; this one is not very at all), and then 5) then start the cycle over (arrogance, then rules, etc.), until there are no new rules to draw and the shame fades. So hopping over all the rounds of progression and shame to just no-shame -- at least in the factory, although the park and biker bar are close -- felt like a little bit of a goof. One potentially easy fix would be to have her go home at night and feel remorse, perhaps even get drunk/high or confess to someone she trusts (inappropriately), which could set up even more crises.
