It's weird, maybe I am not rendering my stuff at this high a resolution, but I cant get the skin textures to look like that and I am using the HD textures. Awesome stuff btw.

Do you use the iray render engine? sometimes it looks like 3dlight.
And if you use it try hdri lights they give good light when your scene isn't in a closed room.
