A recommendation from me. This game and its story are great.
Having played the game when only the "initiation" -- their name for the tutorial portion of the game -- was available, I am pleasantly surprised with the way the game has come along.
For the most part, the game has added a lot of features which aim to increase immersion and add visual context to scenes which before were only text and could be challenging to visualize for less imaginative people.
The good stuff about the game:
- The art is great and does a great job at assisting the written story
- The writing of the story is fantastic
- Character cast is diverse and can be good or less good depending on your choices
- Choices matter? There are hints of choices being impactful but so far the story isn't that advanced to really get a good impression of how much impact it'll carry in the story's progression and expansion.
The Bad:
- This is not finished. Obviously this makes for some frustrations but development, bug testing and surveying player preferences and interactions with the game is a long and arduous process. Give the guy some time, to go from thought to playable demo takes a lot of time and effort.
- Slight annoyances with the inconsistent UI from the last update. But that's mainly because a big update to the map system was done and the game's core visuals are still being tested.
- Updates are slow to come out... But that's not necessarily bad as the quality of the updates on this game have been better than most games I try here on F95.
Overall: 7/10 in it's current state of development.
10/10 idea, 9/10 execution, 10/10 tutorial + first mission & 2/10 for completion, there's more great stuff in that developer's mind but it takes time to write, draw and program for the game.
Will update as game updates roll out.
