dumb question on VAM obj export

I admit it is probably a dumb question (I know little about VAM, and do not plan to become an expert), but...
Assuming someone wants to export an OBJ from VAM, there is the option person-reset pose-export obj and mtl (trying to import the obj both in Blender and Daz Studio, even if the texture files are in the same folder, they are not read, but that is not tragic, at least the surfaces are read correctly, so can always do the mapping and creating a preset).

However (and here, I guess I will get people pissed off), trying to import that obj as a moph, specifically in Daz studio, fails with the geometry not matching message.

My guess is that the VAM-exported obj includes the gens, and that creates a small difference, since even adding the gens to a character in Daz, when importing Daz will not consider also the gens, only the main character.

I know there is even a tool to convert the files from VAM to DAZ (for vmbi and vmb, but the var are basically compressed zip with a json and a folder structure that includes the vmi and vmb, so, not a problem), and many characters are based only on one morph. I also know the base for VAM characters originally is G2, so, can be considered decrepit.
But for the "decrepit", I have my reasons to actually want to try that (already tried with a couple of characters nicely).

And about the morph, I am thinking about cases (even if they may be very few) that do not use only one morph for the character, but a bunch, where it would be simpler to use the obj file to create a single morph for G2 in Daz Studio, rather than having to bring over a bunch of morphs (even because it would be not so much to use them as G2, but to convert them and their texture to something more recent).

Thanks for any help, and sorry if for people using VAM is a dumb question, but honestly, I got interested in VAM mostly because I saw some characters ("looks" and "appearances") I liked here on F95 :)
