I was initially drawn to the game because it was a continuation of the original, but unfortunately, I'm not impressed. The changes made to Sarah and Christine's relationship were so significant that they pushed me out of the game entirely.
It seems counterintuitive to "continue" a story by making drastic alterations rather than creating an entirely new one based on the same characters. If you're going to deviate from the original, why not start fresh?
Furthermore, I think it would have been more effective to include player choice options that allow players to explore lesbian themes in a way that's consistent with the original game (or consider making a new game altogether).
The gameplay feels kinetic and fast-paced, which may appeal to some but will likely alienate others.
It's also jarring that we're supposed to follow the main character, yet we don't actually get to experience his perspective. It's an odd choice that disrupts the flow of the story.
Overall, I'd give this game 2/5 stars - it's average at best (3/5 if you ignore the significant changes from the original).
