I don't think you can since the game is designed to be a roguelike, but you could save monsters to use on any future playthroughs.
which is weird, most turn based rpgs, specially ones with very expanse worlds (for very long plays) have save feature exactly so you can give a time of the run and start it when you come back.
those are essential, games like Noita or TBOI (They're not nsfw games nor even published here) have VERY LONG RUNS overall, because teh developers know the maps/stages are enormous (if you accumulate them that much) and you gotta squeeze each portion of the map to ease your run on future, with so many mechanics and things to take care, SPECIALLY on a turn-based game (Turn based games ALWAYS HAVE LONG RUNS)
by having save feature, it allows players to explore/study the game while also having their break. (What i'm saying, are that people naturally will avoid exploring the map, and trying always the linear route realizing the lack of save, out of fear to waste time on something and get punished by it.)

i think the developer still shouldn't add a save system like your average pokemon game where you lose and "woopsie... lemme save scum baack to life", Dev SHOULD KEEP the permadeath stuff, it's a roguelite after all, but at least saving the run you didn't lost yet.
