There is an open-source remake of elona that is highly moddable called OpenNefia. The problem is that it has not been updated since 3 months ago. Elin has been rapidly firing new releases on the discord. Elona+ and Elona+ Custom-GX have been updated.
Which Discord exactly? Looking to download the game and have been having trouble...
In connection to that, does anyone know why it seems that all of the google drives of the games have been deleted recently?
Edit: Correction, all previous versions have been deleted before the newest versions apparently.

Also seems there are some nude sprites, though they're probably custom. Artstyle seems different. Still, with the increased size I imagine there'll be a lot more nude mods and interest in lewd mods and such if possible. It's already confirmed the sprites can be added like Elona so that's great. Hopefully the art additions aren't as limited as Elona. Only being able to add so many portraits and additional sprites and shit was a little sad.

Can you give equips to your party members? How do I interact with animals I find in dungeons like a horse or cat? Can I tame them?
Question, why is my stats decreasing? My STR plummeted to 12 from 16 and I have no mutations. Is there a way to increase the base stats?
Press "I" to bring up the interact menu. From there you can give/take items from them. They'll equip whatever they can.
Can I tame dragons by giving them items? They just run away when I pet them or when I wet them. Also, how do people actually court people while drunk? I tried to court the blacksmith lady but there is no option to mate.
Certain actions can temporarily reduce your stats. If they're showing red, you should be able to restore them with restore body/spirit potions or visiting a healer to restore your attributes.
I've never bothered trying to recruit a party member through affection, so I can't really help you with that. The majority of my party comes from the random unique enemies that join you after you defeat them.
Besides that, you can buy slaves from Derphy or just go out and play pokemon (beat up a monster to really low HP and throw a monster ball at it) to get monster allies.
You can also hire the random adventurers and if they like you enough they can offer to permanently join you.
I have never expected Elona to appear here and I am not sure why it even would.

I just learned Vessel had ppl simping for him, bad I had no idea why he was doing in the plot and why he was so important when the guy keeps dying when I attack him.

The only ACTUAL sex in this game are
A: Getting NPC's drunk via throwing alchohol at them, then asking if they want to 'get a little tail', which just has your sprites sort of bump each other while it spams vague sex noises
B: Once you've beaten act 1 (which is to say you've beaten Elona; act 2 and 3 are + only) you can meet a princess from some other game, sell pets to her to 'satisfy' her, then on the last one she'll decide she wants you and rape you. Its exactly the same as 'get a little tail' except you have no choice. Its not tittilating at all.
I don't remember anything else even vaguely lewd in this game, although some people do edit their pets dialogue to be really lovey dovey and such, I'm not sure on the details because I use Kokou (buffed for not using pets) exclusively as pets are so incredibly broken they legitimately ruin the game.

IIRC there was some vague prostitution in one of the cities, but it's the same as the tail thing; similar with the relationship bit.
