You can actually use backdrops from onesyota in your custom kariyume stage very easily. You just need to change the stages filename to 'EDS1' and have it replace the one that's already there.

I have templates for each dialog which I edit in graphicsgale, revert back to their previous state and then repeat.

It's a zip file that contains all the cut-ins for Part 1. This copy is modified to have all the filenames translated, it also includes the transcript for Part 1 in both English and the original Japanese.
