Minor update...
So I've been giving my upcoming project some thought, and have been trying out a few different games to come up with some ideas on how I want the management interface to work. I also fired up SU Reimagined again, and of course felt sad that it never went anywhere due to lack of interest/help. There are a number of cool game mechanics that I enhanced/added in my efforts there, and of course will carry over/adapt a few of my own ideas there into the upcoming project.
Here's where I'm at currently with my management screen mockup:
I like to have as much as I can handy on the same screen when possible, and I think this should work pretty well. As shown above, there are six different areas that tie in to the resort that the player will need to build/upgrade to generate income. Each location will have probably 4-5 tiers.
The black silhouettes are 'regular' employees/dancers/staff, that the player will recruit into a pool. I don't want to make this too complicated, so the skillsets of the various pool members will be assumed to be adequate to the task. I.E. some of the maids may have mechanical/electrical skills as well as cleaning skills, so no need to track all of this, so as to allow the the players to focus on the Supergals and associated stories.
Supergals generate significantly more income than 'staff' types, and the various Patron Requests will involve the various Super gals.
Staff will still make appearances here and there though, of course. I have a few staff gal related renders banked already...
Nat and Charles here may or may not be angling for a threesome with this cutie...

Of course, I'll need to code all this at some point, right now I'm just trying to get a feel for the gameplay I want. I want the management to be a nice distraction that fills in the gaps between sexy fun time scenes, and it should NOT be overly grindy. I hate games with excessive grind...
In any case, yeah still a lot of brainstorming left to do, and of course Ren'Py coding at some point, as well as the rendering thing... but it's slow progress at least.
My Genesis 2 characters load significantly faster than my G3 and G8 characters. I have so many G3/G8 morphs tied into the base characters that loading times are very slow, but today for the silhouettes I decided to fall back on G2F and was pleasantly surprised how quickly the base character loaded, we are talking less than a minute compared to 5-30 minutes with G3/8...
That's the downside to having an extensive G3/8 Daz Studio library I guess. Them's the breaks!
Back to it!
