Fellow Adventurers,
I'm trying to like this game, it has gotten such good reviews. However, it is kicking my ass...
I'm now in the process of reading all of the help sections (encyclopedia, ect)... so much to keep track of. Guess I should have read it before heading through the dungeons in the first place.
Anyways, I was hoping for a few suggestions for the adventuringly challenged. Anything that might help a total noob not get discouraged and move on to the latest mindless renpy on offer.
For example, when exploring a dungeon map, and seeing enemies ahead, does one try to avoid them in hopes of completing the dungeon without having to flee, or does one try to prepare and then engage?
Thanks for any suggestions...
hello
first of all, dont worry too much about your girls being lost on a dungeon,as they are not lost forever but on two cases.. wrong choice on some weird machines (read carefully what their instructions says: knowledge in german helps), or you just give up on recuing them, for any reason..
as usual on novice levels they are far weaker and easier to be beaten, if they are not at full hp, and have no moral nor potions, a retreat may be an option, but i prefer to find an easier way to dungeon's end, since fleeing will break your loot streak bonus (seems that thing has been off game for a while, but seen it back on 1.4.4 demo version)
half of the work in this game is due cursed classes and items, you can try to stay pure and bring your untouched girls to a dungeon, but if they are not well trained wont survive for long, so rescuing your captured girls soon it harder, but they will be less corrupted and specially less equiped with cursed items, first of them are easy to get rid of by working in town, other instead you will need to reach with them certain level to unlock them, or pay at church to remove, even trying to get other cursed items that remove first ones (like transformation rings)
i like to start my games going for some basic items given by quests.. so even you may have no pets yet, can put girls on pet work at training fields to get more missions daily to choose from. point is to infinite them fast (get 4 of each type unlocked items makes them infinite and can put on any girl without fear to lose them, you can even discard them in dungeons if your cargo is full and need to move.
my first preferred items are: decaying pocketwatch (gives 100% damage bonus both physical and magical minus game day in %) , drone mask (when worn changes strengh to 18, that at first uses to be too low, no more than 11, but lowers intelligence and wisdom) not to be put obviously on you magic users and healers (there is a blue cape for them instead)
once you start getting destiny points can use them on new games by picking some bonuses or flaws to start with, yes there is one to make infinite items with 2 of a kind instead of 4..
