So I'm having an issue with the game. Everything in the game is suddenly slashed and I can't read any of it. It's like that everywhere even in the opening menu. Has anyone had this bug before and if so is there any way to fix it? I even did a fresh install and this bug persists. It even applies to the graphics.

Please help.

Edit: I looked online and I found it to be an issue with the latest versions of Godot. But I don't know how to solve the issue in the game itself. Do I have to apply the supposed "fix" by downloading Godot and then like idk... run the game in it? I'm completely lost and I just wanna relax and play the game today since it was recommended to me. I really need help as I'm lost as to solve this problem.

Ah, I'm guessing they also don't provide context of where the text is used? That would explain the "Rekrutieren" in the screenshot, where "Rekrut" would be better (verb "recruit" vs noun "recruit").

Although props to you for not using MTL. That would likely turn out worse >_>
I mean no, they have a copy of the game, play it and make the translation, then post it. Now how well they speak each language is a total coin flip. You could always come into the discord and mention it in the translation threads. There will most likly be a bug fix update in the near future that a translation fix would make it into.

Lol. Not messing with you. Seriously. My pizza's dont' consume (infinite stack, stopped using them, but will try to figure out why/when it procs one of these days for you if you want). Could be a mod for all I know.

Also, since we're talking bug reports. I did the 'advanced awakening' thing. Not sure if it's just a limitation of the game and it will fix after I reach certain prerequisities, but professions like berserker are just empty (no skill tree) professions I can accept. It also crashes the game, but on reload they are somewhat active and I can just revert back to a playable one without any issues (no further crash).

I went in face first with the modding, because I couldn't help myself. In general everything seems to work fine.
Not sure where the pizza's are coming from if they are modded items, but it's all from the mods found through this threads main links. (I'm also pretty familiar with modding in general and there isn't much I could've done wrong here).
So both these are mods, pizza is from the stuff stuff mod. A quick look and its move is missing a key script, remove_provision. So yeah it doesn't get consumed. I have posted a fixed version in the stuff stuff thread on the discord, by the time you read this the itch version should be updated.
The berserker class and advanced awakening, must be advanced classes mod. I would not yet advise using that mod as it is still very much in development and things in it are unfinished. This is why you are seeing blank skill trees and such, they literally are not filled out yet.
btw the reason I was thinking you may be joking was I was thrown off by pizza, as I had to check if a mod added that.
If you encounter other bugs feel free to post them at me and I will get them sorted out.

Pretty sure pizzas don't exist in the vanilla game. Also not sure what "awakening" is. May also be mod-related.
Go through your mods and make sure they're up-to-date with the game. Also consider posting bug reports in the threads corresponding to the specific mods. Best to go through the proper steps to isolate the mod causing a bug, so disable mods until you find out the one mod (or combination of mods) that results in the bug.
nah he posted them at me, I am one of the major modders of the game. Fixes for the pizza are up, as for the awakening the problem isnt that his mods are out of date its just that mod is still a wip mod. Posting bugs at me or Mado will get them reported to the right spots if we do not outright fix them.

If you scroll further down in the changelog you can see that they already reset versioning once when the game went from Alpha 2.99 to Beta 1.0
Now it just went from Beta 1.4.4 to Release 1.0

Unconventional, but not unheard. Not that regular semantic versioning translates well into standalone programs either way.
So the game follows a set number pattern. we had the initial demo, alpha 1.0 each week there was a subscriber update these were the unstable, .01 it would count up till stable and a public version happened, then going to 1.1 and resetting the .0# .
Alpha went up to alpha 2.95. Then reset to Beta 1.00. Beta went up to beta 1.48 then became release candidate which was basically beta 1.49. Release reset the number to release 1.00.
Each stage had a set roadmap posted at the start and followed it exactly.

Cool. That was fast there.... Will update the stuff stuff mod then. The advanced classes mod I will just keep hanging around. Doesn't seem to harm my playthrough.

That said. Playthrough speaking...

I've just finished the coffin boss. I was wondering if there is anything else after that? I mean. I see a huge map, and finished it while still in the far right part of the map. I decided to stop playing after that, but I was still hoping grinding up a roster of characters would actually go somewhere instead of just collecting all the bestiaries etc. Games really cool, but I've got that weird gutfeeling this was it? Would love to hear I'm wrong because the in-depth mechanics of this game deserve a multitude of progressive stages to which this felt like it should just be the first part.
It was a pretty cool boss btw. But my cleric x knight setup made a joke out of it, I had a knight that self-heals every turn so it was pretty unfair of me. :)

So there are more bosses and map to explore, but not on the demo. That said you can reset the map without losing everything using the ascension upgrade in the church. There is also modifiers you can apply at that time, the quests give destiny points which you use to apply those modifiers. Marathon mode modifier is particularly advised for those on the demo. Also there is the presets to find as well, most of which have unique skills and mechanics.

Has anyone else noticed a bug where the report after you clear a dungeon says someone has gained a quirk, but when you check their quirks in town afterwards the quirk is not there?
Update: It only happens if you get multiple quirks. I looked into the scripts and while the UI can show multiple quirks gained, at line 90 in "Action.gd" if there are multiple quirks gained, the script intentionally selects one quirk randomly and adds only that. This surely cannot be intended behavior - either the UI or the script is in error.

Huh, I think I had that happen with a curio that increased one stat, but also added two negative quirks. The character only got one of them, but they also already had four negative quirks before, so I just assumed that it was because the list was already full.

I've only looked at quirk gain after doing a dungeon, but there's supposed to be a limit of five negative quirks as you note.

The issue I'm concerned with comes up on about 50-60% of dungeon runs - someone will claim to gain both a positive and a negative quirk but actually only get one of the two.

e: I hope the dev can find a way to monetize coming back and polishing off this game more.

I did these things you suggest, have about 8 presets too. But it's kinda sad to hear it's a demo. Ngl, that ends this playthrough in a demo review. 4/5 with a point deduction for the lack of a dedicated storyline with rewards/cg's (since this is a porn game), but 5/5 overall for creativity and utilizing the means of a game to perfectly compliment h-game elements. GG.
