I'm very pleased to see that this has been patched to address significant bugs, such as the quirk thing.

Is it cringe to say "based," these days? Whatever. Based.

I've used the "reroll development goals" on one of my party member and now I can't complete any goals with her.
For example, one of my goal is to clear a forest dungeon. Pretty easy but it doesn't work at all.
Is there a fix?

Are you sure you're entering dungeons appropriate to her rank? E.g. an adept adventurer can't progress any development goals in a novice dungeon, you need to enter an adept dungeon or higher.

Any mod that reworks leveling up. By default goals can require you to play badly like putting mages in the front slot where they can get obliterated or completely luck based like getting a parasite infection.
-- Removes the stupid/cursed goals
-- Goals are further restricted to typical rpg stuff (killing, dealing damage, healing allies, and completing dungeons).
Thank you for the endorsement, though should maybe include they are not recommended to be used together.

is there a strategy or build guide for this game anywhere? or a wiki maybe?
  • Use parties with 1 each of warrior, cleric, rogue, mage. These are easy-to-use, versatile, powerful classes. Spend mana to change class on people with nice stats to these classes. Use other classes sparingly until you are more confident.
  • If you can't assemble a good party, assemble a bad one, do an easy dungeon, and avoid fights as much as possible while rushing to the exit. Then you get new people off the stagecoach, and people who are busy have one day less to wait.
  • In fights, get block / dodge tokens on people who are going to be attacked, and use skills that circumvent enemy block dodge by either ignoring it and removing it (e.g. warrior's "mark target") or inflicting a damage over time (so rogue skills, mage left-side skills, cleric right-side skills). Mage's magic missile also ignores defense tokens (but does not remove them).
  • Use warrior's guard on low-HP or naked people, and stand fast when enemies don't have attacks that force saves. Have your cleric tank some by giving her a cow headband and using shield of faith / prayer. Get the golden cleric mace and use the "illuminate" skill to remove enemy defensive tokens. Use area attacks or moves with limited targeting to circumvent enemy taunt. If enemies have huge area attacks, use riposte abilities on girls they'll target to counter.
  • Skills: warrior should learn left-side first. Rogue should learn middle or left first for the damage move at the end. Mage should learn left or right first; left has good attacks; if you go right spam "prescience" when enemy moves allow saves and "smokescreen" if they don't. Cleric is very versatile, so do whatever you want.
  • Put mage in the back. Put warrior in the front. Put rogue and cleric in the middle, order depending on which moves you want them to use. Rogue can push cleric back and forth between positions 2-3 while attacking, so you don't necessarily have to only select moves that fit her starting position.
  • Eventually adventurers know more moves than they can have ready to use. Before you go into a fight, look at the enemies and try to recognize what they are, and then change your selected moves to ones you think will be useful. This is hard at first, but with practice you will recognize different enemies and know which moves you will want to have ready.
  • Early on, prefer doing lab dungeons and avoid doing ruins or caverns, because early rogues and mages are strong vs. lab monsters and weak vs. ruins / caverns monsters (reflex saves). Later on you care less; just switch to no-save moves on rogue / mage and / or select fortitude-save moves on your warrior and cleric.

Nevermind, I didn't understand I had to do dungeons of my level to progress...
you can also do some task goals that are done in town, like training, working as maid or cow, or being a patient even jobless, you can do a lot of those for free if start a new game with free goal refresh selected as each usualy cost 50 mana..

i miss tho some other works not being paid for like pet slave ponygirl and bartender i understand that being seedbed is not much of a work to be able to level with
