I dont know what im doing wrong. I just started playing and the enemies are.... ridiculously strong, even in the novice dungeons. All my people are constantly getting wiped out. I also hate the auto save system.
Sadly the tutorial is pretty bad in this. Like it explains things well but it just works horrendously bad because it only gives you 4 at a time. By the time the tutorial tries to teach you a specific thing you probably already done it bunch of times. Also the priority on some of them is uh rather questionable, like desires should be among the earliest things to teach you since you won't make any progress without understanding those. I personally play a ton of complicated strategy games so I think I managed to get a grasp of most things by now.
If I had some very critical advice to give to a new player here are a couple things:
- First most importantly I would say pay attention to the adventurers desires, that's the only way to make them better at their class.
- You don't need to fight every enemy, you get some mana and loot but it doesn't always worth it. Keep in mind what desires you work on and what lies beyond those enemies, if the risk is too high then don't bother or look for another path.
- If things are getting too hairy in combat just run away, there is no penalty for it (unlike when you just skip a day). You merely just miss out on whatever equipment is the reward for that stage, but you will get another chance in time.
- Try to get all the building for the guild as soon as you can. Church is the last building which can remove cursed equipment for some favor, it is a major game changer.
- There are optional missions that you can accept for more favor, the tutorial teaches you this far too late. These pop up by random chance and you have a single day to accept or decline these, your missions button will glow light blue when you have a new one available.
