It's pretty neat but here is to hoping that Rime would commit to it. Since it is 2D i can see some of the workload being less cumbersome.

All those demo scenes have become extremely repetitive and one dimensional, hopefully he does more interesting stuff like his older games.
Having played the demos myself, the movement is fine enough in my opinion. But the animations demo.....like, my god. It was all just repetitions of like, two of the EXACT same thing. I like breast smothering and hypnotism as much as the next guy, but you know what? I also really liked the kissy stuff that EFP was sort of KNOWN for? The thing that drew me to the project in the first place? Or, I dunno, any variety at all? Any direct sexual acts, maybe, or something, ANYTHING else besides two of the SAME things again and again.
It feels like EFP is basically an excuse for gas sex and kiss fetish. We can only hope for the ichikoro reboot to at least hold a variety of kinks.
That's what it was before, and that's what attracted me and many others, as I've never seen a game themed like that before. This on the other hand has totally abandoned the themr.

I got the feeling kissing stuff might be coming if Rime works on and updates it. The game feels very proof of concept but that is expected because he is starting over. Again though hopefully he can commit to this.
I'd have more faith like that if there weren't so many animations of the same things. That seems more like a proof of an entirely different concept.

well im still stupid enough to pay for his patreon, i can post the builds if he actually posts them sometime next month. but if he flakes again im not going to pay for the patreon anymore. lets hope for the best
Paying on this month instead of waiting for the build release is your first mistake.

The reason why i played the game was because of the kiss plants as kissing is a rather niche fetish in its form in Rime's game.
Judging by the recent post, he's definitely going to work on Smelly Island with all these character designs soon to be added in that game. There won't be any new Plantain content for this entire year, not that it's likely anyway. Pherona could be a part of Smelly Island due to its broad nature of gas inhale fetish.
Does anyone remember the name of that one corruption preview game rim made? It had a red-haired female protag and it wasn't really a game but like a short gallery of sorts and she gets covered in black slime I think.

People are deadass acting like clowns over this game that doesn't warrant this much backlash. I'm not interested in the game myself but the insane reaction towards it and seeing peolpe i follow flip their lid over this relatively tame Pokemon clone is just insane.
