This update is from Dec 6th

TLDR

All of them got COVID, all recovered, they finished part C2 and are working on C3/C4. They made a patreon, and a youtube video (see them below). Also one of them went to some convention.

So, 3.5 times their estimated budget was just enough for them to complete a prequel and around half of the game in more than twice the promised time? And now they have a Patreon with undisclosed money and patron numbers, for further funding?

This and oh so many other cases of scope creep, devs outright disappearing or delivering 1/4 of what was promised make me not trust Kickstarter when it comes to video games. And yet people don't seem to catch on...

Halloween News ~ ♡
We have excellent news! While the previous update was posted while we were still working on Chapter 3, we're now at Chapter 4 (Out Of 7), and we're already past 20% of programming it~ We'd like to share more awesome screenshots from C4, and we promise more news for Christmas ~~~

Nothing posted for Christmas or New Years, however this is a comment on the kickstarter from the dev.

Hiii, Eternal Hour is not abandoned and is in fact progressing daily! We try our best to post on all channels, KS being the most complicated to post since it is hard to edit an updated post.

While it is hard to tell exactly, it should take us below one year to finish and fully publish Eternal Hour. We have been adding a lot to our progress, we're in C4 development, out of 7 Chapters. At this point we even considered releasing Eternal Hour in two parts, half each, but we feel it would be slightly disappointing for everyone.

The entire script has already been written and QA'd, the art is also done in big part, and so is music. Programming the game takes a pretty long time, but even that is progressing well.

While giving the exact release date is currently impossible, unless it would happen next month, we say between 9-11 months if progress continues at the current rate. It may be shorter.

4 to 5 years for the first 3 chapters and they think they can bang out the last 4 in a year.... Also, why the shit is programming the part that is taking the longest?
