excellent style and humor, keep up the good work! definitely one of the top games, the music is top notch. the art keeps getting better with each update. cannot wait for the next one! story-wise it is creative and the dialogue doesn't seem force

There are games that have negative aspects that ruin gameplay and enjoyability. There are games that have positive aspects that barely exist and only exist to rope you into a single experience. This game is neither. The negatives I have only add to the game. The positives only further the experience. Without a doubt Eternum is and experience I haven't gotten anywhere else. Like beyond just being a porn game. This game is genuinely good. The boner/moisture you feel between your legs is seriously just a plus. Very few media have given me the immersion and enjoyment Caribdis has managed to. This is genuinely the best game on this site and without a doubt top 3 best games I've played on this kind of forum.

I'm not going to explain much just... play it. Its one of the top games on the site for a reason. And the fact that (as of when I'm typing this) the game is ONLY at version .5 and there is HOURS of content should speak lengths. I can't sing higher praises. Eternum is everything you want and everything you didn't know you needed.

Great models and a good story so far. Characters each has distinct personality and its just an enjoyable game overall. Even the none lewd parts are interesting purely because of the well thought out characters. Can definitely feel the passion from the developer when making this. Probably my favourite game of this genre. I know some people might complain about the lack of scenes or progressions in the game but I definitely prefer a game where we actually build up a solid relationship through interactions then games where we just aimlessly bang every single female character without much of a motive.

5 stars, no questions asked. Any criticism I can come up with is actually a logical thing. Yeh, its a bit long and it can drag on, but there's actual progress. The game doesn't stall like other games of this genre. Yes, there's not as much sex stuff, but what there is is quality as fuck.

Yes, the writing can give the impression it can get lazy when stuff just kinda happens to move the plot forward, but when 95% of VNs on the website can have 5-6 updates of literally nothing, that sort of writing makes perfect sense. Same thing for the sometimes unexplainable actions of the MC - its fine, it moves the plot forward.

And boy does this game have a plot! Yes, it's Ready Player One, yes, at times its straight up stealing other media. But I'm more into this world than I ever was for that movie. It's actually interesting, there's near or less no cringy stuff (which I felt was impossible for a VN of this type, yet here we are). I could honestly believe this was done by a AAA gaming company.

And just to note something - I'm writing this at 0.5 and the game has more content than, I could easily say, 98% of VNs, finished or not. I can't believe it just keeps going. And never loses quality.

To me this is a masterpiece, the new standard, the top of the top.

The story is absolutely perfect, the behavior of the characters is brilliant except for a few sex scenes. Since Dating My Daughter, it is the first erotic novel I have read in its entirety. The part on the space station is a bit too much, but I recommend whoever wrote it to continue and when he's done with it, try to make it into a film or anime adaptation, of course without sexual scenes. I know there are a lot of clichés and copying from other movies, but for me it was like I was playing Ready Player One version 5. Sorry, it's written through google translator.

This is the best VN game I've ever played, and I played a lot. The renders are BEAUTIFUL that my gameplay time triples because I fall in love with all the renders. They are literal art. The story is fantastic, and the way Caribdis delivers it is just the best. Storytelling of this story is probably better than most of the AAA games. The characters are all very unique, and I think this is the very reason this game is the best. Don't get me wrong, all of the other aspects are too the best of its kind for me, but this uniqueness of the characters just makes you want to live in the game. Its like all of them are alive and have their own consciousness. Its crazy how they come from one mind... I've played this game like 4-5 times this week and can't get it out of my head. All of the paths to the girls are just as unique as them. All of these aspects combined with a perfect choice of music and flawless animations makes this game a masterpiece. Caribdis just doesn't miss. 10/10

Hundreds of other reviews go into detail about the excellent worldbuilding and gripping story - I won't repeat the obvious. Best on this site, bar none. What I will say is that the humour is genuinely great; from very first dramatic choice on the train in the opening minutes and the Dark Souls reference once you arrive, it just keeps going and going. I laughed more than I care to admit - my only disappointment is that I can't just share all the awesome moments with everyone I know, because they come from an adult game.

I think what impressed me most, though, is the production quality. Aside from the insanity of pulling all this off with Honey Select 2, Caribdis goes above and beyond in ways few other VNs bother with. The facial animations are amazing on their own, but the way editing, quick alternating cuts, and details as simple as eye movement are used... you have to see it to understand. It's the kind of thing you don't know games are missing until you see it once, and then it becomes impossible to ignore in all other VNs. Just make sure you look up from the text box after every sentence, otherwise you'll miss all the subtle changes.

And then there's the scene pacing, the editing, the music and the timing. Man, the timing! So many cool moments created just with some smart edits and a good musical cue. (Small, vague story spoiler ahead) The Ocean's Eleven style heist sequence - complete with awesome intro cards for each character and the banging soundtrack - is a perfect example. I was grinning throughout the entire chapter. And there wasn't even any porn in it! Just good cinema. Even if the girls or the harem genre aren't your cup of tea, it's worth playing ETERNUM just for the quality it brings to the table.

Still, this is an adult title, so let's go over that part briefly. I will say that the sex scenes are well done, in terms of both animations and writing. The execution is on par with everything else I talked about above, and that says a lot. My biggest gripe is that the MC and 6 out of 7 LIs are 18-20 years old, which makes it hard for me to project myself onto the protagonist. The writing is good, it's realistic, I can definitely see how a bunch of kids their age would act that way. Hell, if I was 10 years younger, I'd love this for sure. But now? Eh. Why do so many adult VNs have main characters in their last year of high school?

The harem aspect is the second part I dislike, because the MC just... doesn't address it. At all. I get it, this is the genre and this is the fantasy, I understand. I don't mind it one bit. What I do mind is how we're just casually getting involved with 7 different girls without so much as a thought. Not a single self-reflection on what will happen when they inevitably find out. I obviously understand that all LIs will be okay with the harem, that's the point, but the protagonist could at least have some inner monologue about it. Or even better, talk to the girls sooner. It's super strange and creepy to me that the guy basically knows that 7 girls are madly in love with him and he just... leads them on? He clearly loves them back, so why not get ahead of it?

That aside, I will end by saying that ETERNUM is most certainly the best adult game I've ever played. In fact, it's among the best stories I've ever come across. Have you ever read a book, or played a game, or watched a TV show to completion and then just sat there, not knowing what to do next? Finding yourself wondering "what now?" Wanting more but knowing there isn't any, so you just feel.. empty. Lost. And then it occupies your thoughts for days on end? That's how I felt after playing 0.5 of ETERNUM. Except I know there's more coming, and I can't wait. Play the game. You won't regret it.

Really enjoyed the dev's first game but this one just feels like a mess of ideas with really unfocused storytelling that's all over the place with pacing problems.

The dialogue quality varies as well, besides the humor which I find most of the time fine and is subjective anyway, the romance feels very rushed and the sex scenes are often out of place. For example, having a heartfelt intimate conversation with a character and the next minute stuffing her throat with cock while having an awkward banter/dirty talk just feels odd.

The choices in this game often come down to either choosing the right ones or getting locked out of a character relationship. With one specific character, all it took is just one wrong choice and that's it, and it would be fine if you could continue interacting with them as friends but they just get locked out outside of the main story forever, which feels very disconnecting and jarring. Considering the time and effort that got put into the scenes and creating an interesting cast of characters why not just rewrite and alter the existing scenes into non-intimate ones so you can still interact with the characters and get to know them better and feel more connected to the overall story?

Visually though It's a big step up from the previous game with a fun UI and most scenes looking great, but the clash of different themes which suffer from the before-mentioned story pacing problems feel very rushed and underutilized.

Overall this game feels to me like the dev chose this mmo fantasy/sci-fi setting just so that he can jump in between settings and themes and create various wacky scenarios but most of them feel disconnected from each other and rushed. Still a good game but I hope the dev learns from this project and will improve his writing and storytelling abilities.

I've been following dev's work since OIAL v 0.5 or something like that. So when we got a trailer for Eternum I was hyped. When v0.1 released, I was ecstatic. And every single update it just keeps getting better and better and better. Sex scenes are one of the best that I've ever seen, characters have distinct personalities and the main plot is engaging enough that you left wanting and waiting for the next update to know what the hell is happening next. The only game that I am actively waiting for. My compliments to chef Caribdis.

An absolutely incredible and stunning game. I've never really been into AVNs before, but Eternum shows how truly amazing they can be. The plot is gripping, the characters are charming and you really do care about them, and the build-up with the love interests and sex is spectacular!

Full disclosure... I am not a fan of Harem games. At all. Having said that, this is currently my favorite game on this site, regardless of the harem approach.

The story is really great and the characters all have depth and purpose. The whole Eternum thing is really well done. There are so many possibilities for this "world" the dev has created, and yes I know there are some references to things like Aliens and Harry Potter, but regardless, the whole thing is nothing short of brilliant.

The MC is a bad ass, but no Gary Sue happening here. He makes mistakes and gets his ass kicked as much as he comes out on top and while he may end up being a Gary Sue of sorts, he has to work is butt off to get there.

All the girls are great. There is something to like with all of them. Of course we all probably have our preferences, but there is plenty to like. Plus, the dev is able to pull some heart strings as well. The flashback with Penelope, for example, was really good.

The only con I have is there is a lot of exposition. It is okay for the most part, but sometimes it goes on a bit too long. It also suffers from the too many LI problem. By the time you get back to a LI, you have almost forgotten about them as you have been so involved with some of the others.

This game is not going to be for everyone, but it is one of those games you absolutely have to download and at least try. You may not like it, but it is good enough you have to give it a chance.

Can't wait to see what happens next in Eternum.

I don't like the type of art that reminds me of anime, but this game is just top. Great story, good models, good writing... It feels like fresh air, not the typical game out there. The eternum thing really makes a difference. Maybe more side stories or secondary characters could give more excitement to the plot.

Once again Caribdis delivers an amazing update to an a amazing game. Definitely the best developer out there.

The updates are consistent, the story is really entertaining and engaging, and the girls are likable.

It's not a game or a novel but an experience.

I'm on my third playthrough right now, and the storytelling will never cease to amaze me. The visuals are spectacular, the characters are mind-blowing, and every single piece of text is perfect.

I loved the creator's first game, but this is on another level. How they play with the possibilities of the genre, how they work with emotions, and how they make feel all melty when the guitar kicks in.

Kudos to you, and hopefully, the rest of the game will be as perfect as the first half.

Had to review this game. This VN is the GOAT of VN's. Already yes, even it's not even ready and that tells something. You have the mystery story that keeps reader in to it all the time and the development of characters is good. Music, sound effects are on point. Kudos to Caribdis for an awesome game. Caribdis deserves all the praise.

A cut above most other content you’ll find on the site. The setting, the humor, and the scenes really combine to form a truly fun experience.

I can see the genre not being for everyone but I encourage you to give it a chance. Thank you Caribdis for the work you have put in.

The character's models are pretty good, but there's too much big breasts so in the end I don't like most of them, you are free to completely discard the girls you don't like for the sexual and romantic interactions and that's a good thing, but most of the choices are not for the branching story but rather tedious quizz and puzzles.
There's also this humorous over the top and sarcastic tone that I don't really like, but the biggest problem for me is the setting itself : it's about a virtual reallity MMO game, so half of the sex scenes doesn't really happen between the characters because they are virtual, an abstraction in the abstraction that this game is.
I hope that this time the game won't be rewarding only for harem fans and that the single girl routes will be more satisfying than in this dev's previous game.

Developer Caribdis has taken everything that made Once In A Lifetime (their previous AVN) great, and incorporated those aspects into Eternum whilst introducing improved renders and animations in this title. If you like Sci-Fi the premise will appeal, and if Sci-Fi isn't your preference, this is an AVN full of humour and heart which you will enjoy regardless.

At the time of writing, Eternum is one of the best AVN's available which I would have no hesitation recommending to anyone who enjoys the AVN genre. Well done Caribdis, keep up the astounding work.

A lovingly made masterpiece that leaves you hooked and wanting more and more.

I was beyond excited when the earlier updates hit the web, and every new story addition keeps you craving for more content. That being said, every update leaves you with a cliffhanger, and you can only search for your jaw on the floor when the credits hit.

The LIs are perfectly crafted, with their unique personalities, quirks and flaws. But they are all lovable, even the MILF-trope is well executed, a thing many other games fail with.

The renders and animations are amazing, and with 0.5, the lighting seems way more beautiful than ever. The backgrounds are lively, the details are there, and everything put together makes the atmosphere look jaw-dropping.

And if we're already speaking about atmosphere, we can't go past the music and sound without giving a shout-out to it. Never thought I'm gonna put music from an AVN into my normal playlists, but holy shit, Cari, the madman made me. Fair warning: it includes many fucking bops, and even the H-scenes carry some absolute bangers.

Oh, and also we MUST protect the Mexican Porcelain Queen of Kredon with everything we have! Team Luna all the way!♥

TLDR: never thought a game would get me more addicted than a crackhead, but here we are, and i'm not even remotely sorry for it.

By far the best game you can get your hands on. Not even close.

Everything is executed to perfection. Unique assets, phenomenal story and suspense, good scenes, great soundtrack and overall loveable characters.

But what really makes this game stand out is the comedy. I had a really great laugh more times than I can count.

I also like that it doesn't have excessive branching. It never feels like chore to go through all paths, as you can just combine it to one, lengthy playthrough instead of keeping endless saves you have to go through.

Overall, always excited for a new update. 10/10
