VN - Ren'Py - Eternum [v0.8.5 Public] [Caribdis]

One of the few games that just gives me pure joy when playing it.

While the story is quite good it can feel a bit disjointed at times, but the characters and the writing in general absolutely push this game into masterpiece status.

One of the the best VNs you can find!

Came for the quality models, stayed for the comedy and writing. Honestly this is a gem of a VN just for the writing and inside jokes. The pacing is good and the story is not terribly cliche. The humor is very tongue and cheek at times but it's not overly verbose so it doesnt get boring.

I usually don't review games unless they really made an impact on this community or maybe I just really like them..
In this case its both!


This game is nothing less than a masterpiece!

1) The characters models: 10/10 (Only thing missing was the option for shaved, I myself don't like hairy characters but other than that)
- The curves and fiber around the skin of the characters make you feel like you're looking at a genuine person thanks to great lighting

2) The characters' story: absolutly awesome! I love how the dev made every character have their own personality and back story (you'll be surprised how many games have shit sidecharacters.. however our MC is great too)

3) The main story: ab...

This is probably the best VN out there, of course, with Once in a lifetime. because they are from the same creator... But seriously, how can it be this good, Caribdis, you have such a great talent and I wish you some much luck in your life, you deserve it.

caribdis, mah man, you are the best developer of this site and for those who are still unsure whether to play this game or not, just read my review, I'll keep it simple. Normally, in my reviews I say positives, negatives and suggestions, this review will have only positives and no suggestions, but even so, here is the analysis:

positive points:

1- story: just like its predecessor, the story is quite captivating and it is not predictable so every end of a chapter you will have a surprise, holding your hype for the next chapter.

2- characters: all the characters are well made, and I want to highlight a point here that Caribdis makes both the female and male characters unique, that's what I'm talking about not only in personality (which is something commendable, having characters with unique characteristics) but in its look, many honey select 1 or 2 games use a lot of the same models for men, caribdis puts different models so that there is no visual fatigue of having the same characters on the screen.

3- scenario: each scenario is unique and well done, seriously the creativity of the scenarios is something absurd that can go from a scene in the middle of the snow with a simple scenario to a complete scenario like a party full of npcs or a casino. Well Done.

4- H-scenes: excellent and follow the evolution of the mc's relationship with LI, so if you've just met a girl she won't open her legs for you as the first sex scene, but relax, patience is a virtue and a lot rewarding in the end, I say that also for the predecessor game.

conclusion : caribdis, mah man, I've been following him since his first game, so I can say anything he does is a masterpiece, so his future works will be masterpieces just like this one and its predecessor are.

By far one of the best, if not the best story progression, character development with multiple stories, art, graphics and animations combined! 100% recommended to everyone. the community needs to support this project to reach its full potential and be an example to many more games in this genre!

Characters truly feel alive and the magic of the Metaverse is wonderfully captured, making you look forward to every adventure. Girls outfits are also just awesome!

An exceptionally good game with great story and animation. The idea is very similar to ready player one and sword art online, like a mix of them both, but with a original storyline. I have played my fair share of the avn games and this one is definitively in my top 5.

Why 5 star ? thats easy this game is amazing like other game is good too author done good work with that one but this one even better normally quality drops after few hours but with this game never drops down.

Author updates games before a half or full year yeah i know thats sounds impossible but yeah and updates like min 2 hours ones like not 30 min update for 6+ months i know sounds impossible but this is reality i like that.

Budget avarage compared to top games of this site and that games hard updates in 6 months even with 20k+ monthly and thye say money is not everything but if you get 20 30 40k montly you gonna deliver something to patrons saying that ah i am sick or i have problems or giving 30 min update is not good believe me thats why i am love with this game its worths wait.

Harem is good and not annoying girls fill theirs own place and feels natural they are not some oh let do sex style characters i am sick of that style of games mc bang everyone in 10 min.

Characters and models is really good plus story amazing and buildup is good too cant wait next update.

So if you wanna play it just do it this one is really good gonna worth your time and worth support too with money or likes comments reviews really this one is good its been like 3 years since i found about indie adult games so this one is in top 5.

The story is pretty goofy, which isn't inherently bad since the comedy in this is great. On principle I find the idea of a permadeath roguelike VRMMO becoming this popular somewhat ridiculous. but it's far from the least probable aspects of the story. Ridiculously hot and loveable characters and a fun (if dumb) plot make me unable to give this less than 5 stars. I wish things were a little plainer with the harem element though, technically the mc is a cheater.

I'm up to date and I must say this game has it all, visuals, story development, lore, great sex scenes, comedy, romance, horror, etc. the truth is that it is an incredible joy in all aspects, congratulations to the developer for creating a magnificent game, I can't wait for this project to continue advancing, it left me very hooked.

Seriously though, this is probably already my favorite VN and it's only version 0.4, the story alone is enough for a 5 star review. I love the world building and the sense of mystery that has me desperately craving more, with my brain and not just my dick. And as for that part, the models and animations so far are pretty top tier as well, so I'm thinking with both heads as I write this review. Definitely worth checking out for anyone who likes VNs.

I personally think this game has the potential to be one of the, if not the best VN I've ever played. The way Caribdis pulls you into the story is mind blowing. Very cool story so far (0.4), and very awesome world building. I have played more than enough VN's from here, but this is the first time I've ever been bothered to write a review.

Man, where to start. This has amazing worldbuilding and storylines. The animations are fantastic, and the personalities are so diverse. Sound choices also accentuates the feeling of the game very well.

Eternum takes itself lightly, but turns itself on when the hard hitting moments come.

There's already a good amount of content in the game, but the way it's been laid out, the future holds exciting times.

This game has a lot of potential even right now this tops a lot of other games, the story, the graphics, the characters, the world ingame is wonderfull can't wait to see where this is going this game has all of my support thank you Caribdis for this piece of art or cake whatever pls if you like this game like me go support his work on patreon he deserve it by far.

Beautiful graphics, character models look great, story, though feeling somewhat linear, is well-written, updates so far have been extensive. Came for the naughties (pun intended), stayed for everything else.

To me to be catched by a game I either look for good looking CGS, catchy storyline and characters or great mechanics.

While I can't say much about the mechanics themselves, since It's "just" a multichoice game, both CGS and storyline/characters are great.

I have to admit that I'd play that game even without the H part, since the the whole idea, the plot, it's original and very intriguing!

What I really like of this game:

- The plot it's well organized/planned and the whole story it's thrilling and misterious.
- The characters have very different personalities and varies visually (it's not one of these games where, despite the high quality, all the females look the same but with differen haircut/eyes colors).
- There is a lot of attention to build up a mental situation BEFORE any phisical outcome. It's nice to see how the relationship with a character develops before getting into something and that adds a kick to the whole thing.
- The renders and the attention for details, lightnings, environment, chlotes etc it's well made and gives to the game a lot of personality (there are several games whose graphics, despite being extremely detailed, look alike).


What I think it could be improved/tweaked:

- Would be nice to have more interaction of the player to get into some"rpg" style but that would probably be a completely different game setup. Maybe for the next title in the future? Dunno, just saying...
- Make female characters even more different between them. I mean, thereare still some features they all share and make them look similar. Perhaps different nose shapes, jawlines, eyes shapes, smaller breasts/butts etc. Still, it's already great like that, I'm not complaining.
- Some of the intimate episodes feel a bit "forced". For example, a very clumsy and shy girl who tries to understand her feelings towardher friend, getting aroused sleeping together, starting to explore herself and her body and then all of a sudden "lemme suck your dick!" Feels like some steps were missing and if is intentional looks a bit out of place. I'm playng now "Once in a lifetime" and I see that in this game it was even more marked and has been tweaked a lot in "Eternum".

Don't get me wrong, I love the game and it's a 5/5, one of the best games I've played so far! Can't wait to play the next chapter!

Funny dialogue and interesting storys that feels very sword art online inspired with the VR Technology.
Memorable and extremely sexy characters .
The character designs are very iconic and don't feel like just fuckable slabs of meat unlike most Visual Novels.
Unfortunately the game is still yet unfinished but is still A+ Quality and lives up to the previous titles standards once in a life time made by the same dev.
I recommend it to anyone wanting a good story and erotic cutscenes.

Ok what can I say about this game? If I had sum it up in one phrase, it is absolutely outstanding. Please hear me out below.

The graphics are the best I have seen, the different worlds within Eternum and the storylines are simply amazing, I love how the characters interact with each other no word of a lie this is a game with practically unlimited options that could keep this game going for years and years and I'm telling you everyone that gets hooked on this will still be yearning for the next installment for however long the game goes for. I am even convinced that other talented developers could with the developer of this game design side quests etc.

Onto the characters, this is not a game that hinges on sex, there are a few scenes in the game of course but it is not what you will be most wanting here, the quests and storylines will keep you interested far more than the sex. That being said the female models in the game are quite simply gorgeous, each has their own personality, looks, traits etc and you become really invested in the relationships you make with them.

Gameplay currently I would say if you don't skip stuff I guess 20 hours to be honest I have got that lost in the game it could even be longer, the animations are great maybe a bit jumpy on android but on a gaming PC they will be one of the best games on here.

You will find yourself feeling lost when you reach the end of each update and will be wishing the time away so you can get your next fix of this, damn I even went for 4 days with a few hours sleep worked all day and then played this for a many hours not realising the time had gone so quick.

To the developer you truly have created a thing of beauty here I hope the project last for many many years and you thoroughly deserve all the 5 star reviews and being 1 of the most highly rated games around. Please keep the updated coming if I only had 1 thing I could moan about is I hate waiting and wish the updates were faster.

Coming from Once in a Lifetime, this game doesn't disappoint. The humor and the different personalities of each characters is what makes Eternum special. This new game have elements that makes it similar yet different compared to the first one. I really enjoyed the new sci fi setting of the virtual world of Eternum, which makes it have endless possibilities in how the story could progress. Also this is one of the few games that will have a good harem ending so that's a greatly added bonus for people like me who are indecisive on which girl to go for.
