VN - Ren'Py - Eternum [v0.8.5 Public] [Caribdis]

as of v0.2 the quality of the game is very good. It is a bit early to say how the game will go. All girls are differentiable from one another , although not very unique. The plot is enough to hold the interest . Obviously , its not flawless . Girls are throwing themselves at MC for no reason , as usual. But apart from that everything else is high quality. The special effects and sound effects are realistic and dramatic sometimes , which is fun . You have to play it with a headphone.

This is probably one of the best (if not THE best) VN I ever had the pleasure to play on this website.

The plot is, as far as v0.2, well written. Pretty simple concept (the VR game where you can pretty much do whatever you want ) but well developed. I truly enjoyed the variety of dialogues and little events that let you meet and create a connection with the characters. The girls are beautiful and their feelings are well described by the author.

The graphics are GORGEOUS. Such a good quality and beautiful faces and bodies. The UI looks very good and is coherent with the rest of the game vibes.

Easily best VN ive ever played.
1. The Setting is unique and very interesting and makes for great diversion. It kindd reminds me alittle of the Plot of "Ready Player One" but i love to have that in game form. The Plot is super well written in my opinion and very captivating. I couldnt stop the game till i got to the end.
2. The Girls are all f*cking beautiful, maybe even too much, because i cant decide for which one i want to go. The Animations are great, the renders are insane and the game overall looks just perfect.
3. All the characters come with their own unique personality, background and problems they have to deal with, and i cant help but wanting to help all of them and get to know them better, find out more about them and see how their Story develops.
4. As for the choices you get to make some feel like a little random, minor choices that seem to have an impact later on when you progress the story, and even tho they felt not important at the time they make quite the diffrence. But thats the only little flaw i can find with this game.

In conclusion: I can wholeheartedly recommend this game to everyone and i hope we get to see a lot more of this game with many more updates to follow this v.0.2

So far my favourite characters have to be Luna and Penelope, can't get enough of them and I even have a small theory what the purpose i Eternum is...All in all excellent work, the plot is amazing, characters likeable and relatable to a certain degree can't way to see what happens next. Thank you Caribdis for making this

I downloaded this without really looking into the thread. I just thought the characters were cute and looked good. I didn't expect a great story with good humor. I would recommend this for others. Just waiting on the next update.

Dev knows a thing or two about storytelling, it starts with lame premise like any other VN out there but then becomes more and more engaging. Mystery and horror elements are well placed. I may be biased because virtual worlds and an AI are my thing though.
The visual style is really good for honey select (I assume that is it) with quality backgrounds sometimes. Music is nice and not annoying in any way, also the sounds (limited amount of them) are nice for being there for a change.
I definitely will be following this.

I like the humor, I like the plot, I like the girls. I'll probably have one of my best fap when one of the girls takes on MC's dick.

The plot is very good, probably among the best in porn games. If you've played Once in a lifetime then Eternum is similarly good but imo has a much more interesting topic.

I ain't no writer so I can't describe it well, just know that the plot is not simply a mechanism to bring MC's willy into coochies, it is more than that.

I had no idea honey select models can be this good... dang im missing out.

I'm very picky about what AVNs I play but it's mostly just preference of the art style, characters, story, or maybe horniness(idk). I never had much interest in anime-like(or whatever you call it) art styles until I played this game. This really made me wanna jump right into playing it because of the sci-fi vibes and VRMMO type story like Sword Art Online and also because of the quality of the renders peak my interests. I gotta say, it did not disappoint me. It opened my eyes towards a new art style of AVNs. Love the story. Love the characters. Love the hot scenes. Love everything. Keep up the good work!

For the longest time I didn't want to touch this title because the description made it sound like it was just going to be a riff on Ready Player One. While waiting on the updates of some other games, I finally decided to give it a try and it absolutely is.

And the way @Caribdis did it, it's not a bad thing.

There is obvious inspiration from it, but the same can be said of almost any game in a popular genre. What points it might lose in creativity for that sacrifice it more than makes up for in humor and characterization. Whether a LI, an antagonist, or just a support character - all are given a chance to be developed into something interesting.

Cons
The models, while still very nicely done, are not as ultra detailed as in some other games.
The game still has only limited content and currently ends on a real ***** of a cliff hanger.
As an adult game, there is still relatively little sex. By no means devoid of that content, but still..

Verdict

I am glad that I decided to give this title a try. Yes, the story itself follows some familiar beats but it seems to have a life of its own still. The details on the girls could be better, but they're also by no means bad. All told, it's definitely one worth watching.

The game is great, graphics are 10/10 and plot is 9/10. I like the backgrounds and the story in this game, is really engaging and makes you want to find out more.
The MC is also a likable guy, whilst his looks can be improved they are more than good enough and his character is likable (Not too dense or too much of a dick)

Game also has a very good dev so the progress on this game never fails and always lives up to expected standards. Not many devs can achieve this.

I also like the comedy in this game, they are just very funny. I also like some of the more scarier and spookier moments in the game, so this game really does have a bit of everything in terms of the theme. And of course sexual stuff is there (Which is very sexy).
Characters are also interesting in this game, they have their own traits and personalities so it keeps the plot engaging.

One big improvement (For me at least) in this game from Caribdis previous games is the music, the music just makes the visual novel so much more lively so it becomes a pleasure to read through it. Another improvement is how the transitions have changed from one scene to another, it's very cinematic which is great!

My only complaint would be is that the plot is progressing too fast, is like the MC is "the chosen one" with all the shit that happens to him.

Other than that, great game.

I usually don't write reviews but I got to give it to this game. I've played all kinds of adult games before from Being A Dik to Treasures of Nadia to depraved awakening to Milfy city to summer's gone ,,, you name it. but this one is by far the best, especially in terms of the story that is just amazing.

I don't think there was any point in the whole game so far that would bore or make me cringe. In fact, it can easily get me excited about what's coming next. It's actually funny as hell.

Senses and characters? Just beautiful.

To me, It's the perfect experience of every fantasy and theme you could imagine. DO NOT MISS THIS!

Great game as always from caribdis, great pacing for both the story and lewding the love interests, engaging storyline as well as fitting soundtracks and unmatchable humor. I enjoyed every second of my time playing this game and it's unbelievable how the dialogues never get boring. And amazing art and renders as well as beautiful and unique girls. All of them are loveable in their own way. You must try this game if you have doubts. (0.2)

Everything about this is amazing. The story is even better than the first entry (Once in a lifetime) with more story elements, and now you have more girls with bigger personalities. There is literally no girl that you can hate, they're all friendly and likable. Even the side girls (there is only one at the moment) is pretty cool and engaging. It is a well paced game, I am looking forward to the next episode.

TLDR - Great game with great story, definitely worth a play. If you're looking for a quick wank then this game is not for you.

I started playing this game with very low expectations, as I didn't really enjoy Caribdis's previous game. However, I was very positively surprised.

The story is very interesting and well paced. It feels like a new an interesting twist to the already well known "futuristic super realistic vr game" story, with very clear inspiration from things such as Ready Player One and SAO, which I don't mind, as it is played very well into the story, and it gives you a fun kick of dopamine when you recognize the homage to above mentioned things, as well as other fun little references in the story.

I felt very immersed and drawn into the story and it kept me on edge about what was gonna happen next. The sexual content is subtle and works very well with the rest of the story, and MC has no "overly horny" moments in the story besides the scene with Annie in the bed, which I really disliked and it totally ruined the immersion, and made me remember that I'm a pathetic creep playing adult games in the middle of the night. This progression between Annie and MC made no logical sense, and didn't benefit the story in any way.

The characters are fun and all have very clear personality differences. I especially loved Chang and all his little moments. The graphics are good and are paired really well with the ambient sound and music in the background.

5/5 stars from me. Overall one of the best VN stories I've played so far, very excited to see what the next update brings.

As of 0.2, a strong start which looks to be heading in a good direction. The focus seems to be more towards the story side of things, and the writing is well done. Character models are excellent, with good variation, and there are some great animations as well.

Sound effects and music are good too.

I've been following your games for quite a while now. I got invested the 1st time i found them. You have a way of making characters that are very engaging and worth to follow. The balance between the humor, suspense and drama is well done. As i dig deeper into the story, there is always something will surprise me- it could be an unexpected twist or a grand reveal of things- they are always impeccable. Now i can see how much you've improved your craft with this new game. You got me invested right away and the whole ride has been really worth until now. You are an artist and you have mastered your own craft.
Thanks for sharing with us this great masterpiece and i'll be eagerly looking forward to the next part of your stories.

Review: Version 0.2

Caribdis is doing it again with this game. Rarely does a game in it's second release have this much content, let alone with this level of quality.

The script is fantastic, with a great mix of dramatic, thrilling, and comedic moments. Caribdis makes good use of his side characters, and makes you excited for when they next turn up. This is not to say that the main characters are overshadowed, every Love Interest is interesting in their own way, while following a certain archetype, they rarely feel cheesy or bland.

While this leaves the MC as the weakest part of the cast, it is not to say that the game is ruined because of him. While not fully being a SI, the MC is very easy to put your shoes into with a likable character and nice, if not slightly unoriginal dialogue.

Not only is the game well written, but it is also well scored and well animated. Small animations interspersed throughout the game makes you want to slowly progress through the game instead of mash the mouse button like some other RenPy games, and the music choice during intense but also emotional scenes will make you pause, or at least read a little slower, to let the moment sink in a little more.

The game's current number of intimate scenes might be low, but each scene is well crafted, with good animations and little to no clipping or immersion-breaking stills.

I am not lying when I say that I would still play this game without the porn. Hope Caribdis keeps up this level of quality for later releases. This is a game I would not want the developer to rush.

I would call it a masterpiece in the making. Graphics are way above average, the dialogue is great too, very funny, and the characters are coherent. The universe has some boundaries set to it (although it was probably inspired by SAO) which makes it a lot more believable.

Just like Caribdis' other game, "Once In A Lifetime", this game is perfection. From the humor, to the story, to the characters, it's all incredible. The graphics have gotten even better than before. I'm just really excited to keep following this game and see where it goes.
