A generic, linear Visual Novel with 'click to see next slide or line of text' gameplay, boring "college trope" with a mix of "young man finds himself living with his girlfriends best friend's school mate" cliche story (with a sci-fi blend) and some in-game choices that basically lead to the same results (be polite/ be agressive turns out excatly the same). Honey Select models are really not my kink - as all females look exactly the same and just really weird (petite asian schoolgirls). This Visual Novel is all about young people (teenagers) talking to each other about mundane things. Adult content is scarse or even none (you can get a sneak-peak of a girl undressing if you decide to be a perv) and all your choices boil down to - hi, can you clean the bathroom because im too busy to do it myself? People constantly want you to help them do something and if you decline you basically have no chance of even interacting with them later on. There is also a riddiculous pop-qiuz sequence that will repeat itself until you'll get all the answers right (why even bother). Story is really far from good and so as adult content.

One of the best VNs I've ever played with so much soul and love invested by Caribdis.

The plot itself is very engaging, and the core concept of Eternum "servers" gives so many possibilities with any possible location that you can visit. From space stations and cyberpunk to ancient Egypt and the Wild West - everything fits to the narrative so well. As for the writing, it also holds the bar - pop culture references, well dosed humor and good pacing keep you engaged all the time (and those cliffhangers will make you wait the next update eagerly each time). Girls feels different, each with their own personality but still very likeable. Despite of using Honey Select, visuals and graphics are good (like the best what you can expect from that engine) with well directed and animated scenes which always complemented with good enough musical theme.

Overall: strongly recommended to try.

So far just an intro, but the world building is really cool. There's a mysterious atmosphere that seems to be setting up into a great adventure. I like the characters themselves a lot too. Very very interested where this is going.

Review of the 0.1 Version.

Absolutely impressive. It's hard to describe the game but I'll do my best. Humor right off the bat is amazing, funny and entertaining but not overdone as to make it repetitive or annoying. At the beginning there is a comment about how the sound effects and music add to the game and it absolutely is true. I found the experience extremely immersive, fuck, that's an understatement. I got so hooked up I got ecstatic, every click or button I pressed I prayed for the game not to end, and it didn't. The amount of time in a single version is stunning, and speaking of stunning, the graphics and the animations are lovely, much better than the previous game in both character design, backgrounds and, well, pretty much everything in general. I got myself admiring the beauty of the characters not only in a physical aspect but in a psychological too, as they aren't stuck into a pattern, they each feel real and all interactions feel lively. One thing that surprised me in the game is how the transitions and cutscenes present themselves, they all look breathtaking, I found myself scrolling up to rewatch the cutscene of Ion's opening, and, of course, the atmosphere and setting are incredible as well. At Luna's introduction I nearly had a heart attack (Of course, as a goth girl lover, I had to.) but Eva's whole scene was incredibly unique, exotic. What she said stuck with me, raising - as weird to mention it in a hentai game review - philosophical questions that I never thought a game like that ever could. The writing on this game right off the bat is extremely satisfying. Be it for the fact I knew this developer from the previous game or the theme that is extremely attractive and reminiscent of modern media like SAO (yeah, ik), Ready Player One, etcetera, it was really easy to read and follow. I believe it's a game absolutely worth checking out for all it's good qualities, as it is genuinely hard to think of something bad about this game.

Furthermore, as a side note, I'd like to thank the developer from the bottom of my heart for presenting us with such a memorable and amazing experience, top notch shit, as always. Looking forward to the second update and all the following ones.

As some may know, the developer of this game is the same that has already released a fully developed game: Once in a Lifetime. For this reason, I'll tailor this review specifically to those who have played that game. This game in its very first release has already proven itself to be the true spiritual successor to Once in a Lifetime. Everything that made Once in a Lifetime great: the humor, the writing, the effects, all have been cranked up to 11 and bring a new and vibrant energy to this promising start. Not to mention, Caribdis (the developer) has also learned how to make true animations and has already provided a few very spicy animations in this release with the promise of many more. I've never been more excited to see where a story goes (for this genre, anyways), and I hope that you too also follow along in this journey.

I originally rated this higher, but have felt different with the recent updates. It's still a solid game with some good humour and a big heart. The art is done in Honey Select 2, which looks good. The story is similar to other Sci-Fi works, but that's not inherently a bad thing. The music choices are really good, really enhances the atmosphere of the game. An enjoyable VN all together.

Holy shit, Eternum is already 1 of the highest rated games here on F95 and the game is released like 2 months ago! Here are some of my thoughts.

For a first release of the game, there's already a lot of content available though I have to warn you that this game does not have a lot of sex scenes yet (only 1 scene for a side girl so far) since its just a introduction to the game, plot, etc. The environment looks nice, music is great, characters looks unique and it's got that Caribdis's style (you'll know what I mean if you played Once in a Lifetime). And most important of all there's some comedy stuff too and I love it when a game doesn't take it self too seriously, that's what makes this game so guuuud.

Conclusion?
I enjoyed this game and I hope Caribdis will be able to make yet another masterpiece!
Also I'm hyped for v0.2! Will drop another review when it goes public.

Story wise everything is good AF, no suprise there. 0 bugs encountered, 0 typos, great quality as always. Although during Annie's lewd scene the music is not very fitting lol, could be just me but meh.

another extremely good game new born from Caribdis, very beautiful characters story seen interesting , everything seen professional made, look like gotta soon to be a new legendary game that based from ai shoujo, nice work, hope to see upcoming update that have story that a littler longer and further to these girl love route. (btw Nancy and Penelop look so damn hot )

This game has tons of potential. Character models, renders, animations are top notch. The story is very engaging. In fact, for me it probably has the best story of all the adult games I've played so far. Maybe it is because I'm a huge MMORPG fan , but yeah definitely try this one out. You won't regret it.

One of best games I ever played 5 stars out of 5 in everything renders, story, writing and the previous game was also excellent but this game takes it to the next level the humour in the game is also very good. I've read some novels with similar theme so I knew it was going to be good but I didn't expect it to be this good. I want to say just one thing to the dev just keep doing what you are doing.

Great game with excellent graphics and history.
For those who have played Once in Life, it's a bit more of the same but with the new honey select engine.
And this is one of the negative points, because some faces and their bodies, especially the male ones, have details that make them look strange.
Quite content to be a first version.
And a theme better than many others of the same type. I would say that the story for now is more entertaining than many of the audiovisual products that I have seen with the same theme.
I expect a lot from this game and its creator, who for now has been reliable enough, not like others.

Everything sparkles here. It's got a fun story, interesting characters. The girls are all insanely attractive. It skips along at the beat of its own drum without feeling poorly paced. It feels like a real visual novel meant to capture your attention and keep you sucked in.
The humor really slaps, and honestly I had to stifle some serious laughter.

If there are problems, I was too involved to notice them. Honestly, everything was so my style that I kind of forgot to care about all of that.

Play it.

There is little here that I could say that hasn't already been said. This game is great for a 0.1 release. In fact, it should be a benchmark for future initial releases, the overall quality, detailed but not overbearing presentation of the world and just all of the little details that make a world feel real and believable are something that Caribdis seems to have perfected.

Looking forward to seeing what Eternum has in store for us.

As of 0.1 this game is incredibly intriguing, it builds up the future story threads well without taking away from introducing the interesting cast of characters. Loved how the character looks and the comedic aspect of the game. Excited for the next update!

I got into Caribdis' previous game Once in a lifetime at around its penultimate update and I loved the comedy in an already engaging plot. I'm glad to see the same comedy in Eternum! The models are amazing and the characters all have fun and unique personalities. The story is very interesting and I can't wait to see how it develops.

I've been a lurker on here for the past four years so when a game gets me to finally post for this first time I think that is enough evidence for a 5/5.

Caribdis' previous game was incredible, so I was naturally on the fence if they could pull it off again or if it was just lightning in a bottle.

Don't be like me, this game is outstanding and it's only had one release so far.

-The models are some of the best I've seen in the six years since I first found these types of games.
-Humor that has no right to be this good as it is, I couldn't say if I even laughed at one of these games before finding Once In A Lifetime and Eternum
-Excellent pacing and writing. I have a pretty low patience for dealing with bad writing in these games and I'm quick to start skipping, so it's impressive when a game keeps my finger off the CTRL key.

Top game on my watchlist right now, keep up the stellar work!

HOLLY MOLLY WHAT A GAME...! ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS ONE

Honestly this is the best HS game I ever played. Top notch renders alone makes you love this game. But that's not the only thing in this game this one got pretty interesting characters sprinkled with humors. This one is truly a visual treat. Animations are fluid. I loved the humor but that being said it's not for everyone. If you like anime humors you will also love this. Also this one is a harem. You can simply follow the path of the girls. If you are here for more of the porn scenes. You may feel disappointed. This one is more of a slow burn.

Well, you see... it's a game made by the madlad Caribdis

The creator of Once in a Lifetime. Something everyone that reads adult VNs should read.

Caribdis effectively came back swinging with better production quality overall. Everything that anyone could whine about previously was amended with Eternum. Better UI, better MC model, better male models, more variety in girls, better menu, etc.

This one started off so strong, the community was collectively like "CARIBDIS IS BACK, AND IT'S GREAT. COME ON IN."

What more can I say?

I love the girls so far, I love how this was referenced in the last game, and I love that I'm about to go on wild adventures again. Adventures with what will likely be some very fun girls.

One can make the obvious comparison to Ready Player One, and you wouldn't be wrong for doing so. However, I already enjoy Eternum way more than RPO, and that's not even because Eternum has sex scenes.

Eternum is self-aware in a great and balanced way, and that what's really going to make Eternum shine. The writing is just so spot on and consistently FUN.

Aight, I think that's enough shilling. Just read it if you haven't.

Can't wait for more, and hoping for a Stabby Mike cameo.
