Gameplay:
Visual Novel
There is not really a gameplay. There are no multiple paths, you decide if you are on a girl route or not. Most choices are easy to figure out, consequences are quick and you can go back. So, you may be disapointed.

Story:
This is where the game really shines. Ok, there is a lot of mashup of sci-fi fiction (Westworld, Avengers, Matrix). But the storytelling is really great, and the dialogues a well written. The focus is also more on the mysteries surrounding eternum, and not much the porn. Now, everything is a bit silly, but also funny.

Graphics/Animation:
It's very good, despite characters looking a bit similar. And the unrealistic huge dick is really silly. Animations are really good. There are a lot of beautiful places because of the story, so that's a lot of work.

Sound
Ok, this is one of the game where there is a very good work on music and sound design. Praise to the creators.

Overall impression:
I had a real pleasure to do this VN. Last one was a disapointment (boring). And I'm eager to see the rest of the story.

This game is awesome. Normally I don't pay any attention to the story, but I've found myself interested in this one. MC becoming a badass and lots of mystery.

The only disappointment is that there is no incest. Annie or the family would be perfect for it with some slight story changes, and considering their other game, Once in a Lifetime (also 10/10), the dev is not shy from it. Oh well.

Played an hour or so and, man, the game is phenomenal!
Models alone deserve 5 stars immediately. The girls of the househould would've been enough to get you through the game but there are other girls too. The plot is a slowburner, but I like it. Eternum is beautiful and weird. The mystery is there. The characters are decently written with actual logic behind their actions.
Music sweetens the deal.

I don't have much to say about eternum it is perfect on its own. The best characters I've ever seen in a VN. you can easily fall in love with any of them. perfect renderings, perfect story. I just have to thank caribdis for making me happy with this game.

Eternum is simply a once in a lifetime experience, this game has everything perfect that I've ever seen, story, characters, world, images, animations, the world has nothing like this game.
With each update I am surprised by the quality and passion that Caridibris puts into this, it is no wonder that it is and will be the best game on this site for a few great years, and may it continue like this

Most has already been said. To be honest, the story itself is a bit predictable, and the Main Character is just ok, typical self-insert, but the other characters hard carry the game into greatness.

I don't think it's the best thing ever, but its commitment to a more linear story where your choices still matter (hopefully) is admirable, and it has a genuinely funny humor with good characters that make it absoluztely worth playing, even if you're not super into the porn.

The story for the game is pretty fun overall. Sure, it's clearly "inspired by" some other pieces of fiction, but it has a fun spin on it.

What drags it down for me is, frankly, the sex parts of the game. Obviously I don't mind sex in the games, I'm going into these games expecting there'll be some of that.

But, well, first of all it's another goofy story with some guy who has a giant phallic device attached to his body after surgically removing his actual penis, which is the only explanation for a dick that is physically impossible. Maybe it's some weird fetish to imagine you've replaced your human dick with the biggest, most awkward object you can think of, but seeing something so laughably unrealistic and childish makes all of the sex scenes just feel like a chore to get through. Even before you get into the awful "sexy talk" from the MC.

And the MC doesn't just come off as a pervert, he feels downright creepy at times. The guy is constantly distracted from whatever's going on with "OMG these women around me are so hot I want to fuck them so bad! I don't care about this important thing we're talking about, all I can think about is BOOBS!" Cool, he's a horny idiot. But some of the situations also feel like he's taking advantage of the women around him in ways that just feel so, so wrong. And framing it with "You might say no but I know you mean yes so I'm gonna do it anyway" just comes off like a sexual predator.

So the MC's a childish horny predator who replaced his penis with some oversized device to compensate for his lack of empathy. Cool.

I'm not even sure what to think of the Nancy situation. Oh, cool, she's supposed to be late 30s, but looks exactly like flashbacks from prior, and is designed to look like any of the 18-year-olds in the game. Dude, if you want to have a MILF/"stepmom" fetish, lean into it. She just looks uncanny like this.

And there's just some areas that the writing is... eh. Someone who didn't bother with research. Oh, the MC lived in the UK, and Annie's from there? I mean, never mind Annie has American mannerisms. The thing that first made me roll my eyes was when someone made a comment like they'd be thinking of things in kilometers rather than miles... except the UK actually uses miles. And the whole thing of telling Annie, "Oh, it rains here all the time," like she's used to constant sunshine? Excuse me? She's from the UK. Where it constantly rains. It's like the person writing this just made a bunch of assumptions about the UK and couldn't be bothered to check.

Then there was some point where the MC and Chang are talking about going for a drink. Okay, sure, if they were in the UK, they could drink at 18, but in the US they aren't going to grab a drink somewhere at the age of 18. If someone said, "Oh, right, you can't go to a bar here at 18," cool. But it's left with the assumption they went to a bar.

Generally, the story's amusing enough to play through. But some sloppy writing serves as a distraction, and the MC's attitude and fake organ detract as well, dragging the score down. I'd only be able to recommend the game if someone's finished several other games and was bored.

Not much can be said that hasn't been already, but believe the hype Eternum is probably the best all around AVN I have played so far. The girls are hot, as of the end of Chapter 6 there are a decent number of scenes, at least one of which is hall of fame good iykyk

Not much to grumble about. Of course would be good if dev times were shorter between updates but quality takes time and Caribdis does a great job of communicating progress to his patrons

I had a really fun time with this and like most everybody else here who's played it I'm looking forward to the next chapter

This visual novel is great, interesting story and characters and lots of sexy encounters. It is extremely immersive and well designed. You really get to know the characters, their personalities, and watch them grow. I can't wait until the next chapter is released.

I played developers other game and this one looks a little more modern in graphics and story I would say works because its science-fiction. But it have same problem and cons as developers first game.

You have very high expectations, when everyone rates it 5 stars.

The VN has 0 choices, all you do is collect relationship points by selecting right answer. The worst that can happend is that you dont get no scenes with the girls, but the story still make it seem like they want you because this is a "harem" game. They all act immature (even the mom) and there arent much difference in faces and looks.

They all have this, we just want Orion and his third leg. The best friend is just wierd and adds very little.

This game needs real choices to affect story and gameplay because right now its a power point presentation where everything is same no matter what, we all know its gonna be ok.

You also wish there was more control in lewd scenes too.

Downright the best VN I've ever seen. Awesome and gripping storyline inspired by Ready Player One with plenty of gags and references strewn around. Everything looks insanely well-polished and the animations are top-notch. Overall the quality of all the graphics make me feel like there's a big studio behind this game with a bigger budget compared to some "regular" AAA games.

Don't play this for lewd-side of it all (which is still incredible), but play it for the whole package. I'd give it more stars if I could

This is my first review on this page, because I really felt that need to comment on that. The images and general premise has put me off before I even started, but Lord was I wrong. This is something different.
Eternum takes the general inspiration of SAO anime (That;s how I see it) and tweaks it to fit it's need, and believe me - it works.

What really surprised me is the production value, I have never seen that clever usage of RenPy features before and sound with 3Dmodels. It is a textbook example on how to use those in VN. Subtle sound effects are just perfect. I wish I knew how to handle it as well as the creator(s).

It starts out pretty normally and defends itself with interesting characters and witty dialogue. It needs to be stressed that the the sexual themes are leveraged in favor of the narrative, not the other why around. Neither is lacking, but it takes it's time and the reward is a well structured, engaging story. To my absolute surprise - I laughed - the jokes are well placed and everything in the medium is used to amplify them. As my boy Todd would say "It just works".

Sometimes it does try to take itself too seriously, but it is all overshadowed by the instances where it takes risks and the payoff is great. There are some choices that don't seem to have a real impact in the game, but how they are presented deserves a praise. ( ) is a marvelous example of such clever writing. For me this is where the game shines.

Strongly recommended. If not for the story then how to actually write VNs with these tools.

Probably among the very best adult VN around there, it has everything : a good story, great characters, great animations and even some voice acting, it is truly a gem and I can't wait to see more of it.
I also recommend their other game, Once in a lifetime, altho less incredible than this one, but still a very solid VN.

Greatest AVN I've ever played so far, GOATED. The premise is already solid but the quality kept improving the more I played, from the story, to the sex scenes, and character development. The humor is great and everything is very modern. If you didn't like honey select style, I think you should still give it a chance.

Excellent story and graphics. A really fun game with good characters even if their progression is a little linear. The game makes up for this with great dialog that is even very funny in places. Great art and fantastic worlds to visit. The ambiance varies from happy to mysterious to eerie horror with some gore in battles. Some nice pop culture references and scenes from movies like Alien and Oceans 11. A truely great game overall.

When I first started this game last week, I wanted to quit again immediately: The art style and the MC turned me off and - to be honest - looked like crap. But I stayed for the writing (it helped that the introduction was funny) and boy, I'm glad I did. It didn't took that long until I was totally hooked and the artstyle got better over time as well (especially the MC, at this point he looks like a complete different person). But yeah, this is one of the stories I would read even without pictures (and/or sex scenes) as it is truly entertaining and amazing. After I finally caught up now, I can't wait for the next update.

Exciting in every way.

Anyone who's a fan of animes like Sword Art Online, or just sci-fi and mmorpgs, will probably enjoy the story of Eternum. It's about a fully immersive mmorpg with a Willy Wonka twist. In addition to this central plot, the world-selecting mechanic of the video game they're playing allows the author to do some fun, episodic genre switching for each character arc. You might log in with one character for a sexy beach episode, or a dungeon delve with another, or a spooky mystery quest with another character.

While I'm sure the author has a fixed destination in mind, the premise of this story means that there's almost no limit to how many settings you can explore, and how long this saga can go on while still keeping an audience entertained. Eternum truly is an epic story.

Erotically, this game is a harem builder, told in a slow burn, and I will say that I think eroticism/romance is one of this game's weaker points. For example, it seems like a giant plot hole that the MC is romancing so many characters that have close relationships to each other, without them finding out, and I have no idea how this won't eventually blow up in the MCs face without some pornographic deus ex machina.

Additionally, even though many of the scenes are indeed spicy due to an excellent buildup of romantic and sexual tension, there's something inherently less impactful about them when they take place inside Eternum.--It almost feels more like mutual masturbation than sex.

Still, I can't think of a single thing that would hold me back from giving this game 5 stars. The story's just too damned fun. Highly recommend.
