Hi,

i wonder whats going on with this nice asset.
The kitchen is the problem. No matter what i do, it will always take forever (an hour) to render any scene in that room.
Versus all other room which can be rendered in as little as 10 minutes when you dark everything and using some lights and Iray Cam.
I read somewhere that there is a problem with the ceiling i suppose though i didn't understood that really.
Anyhow, does anyone have a tip besides, use better lights, or switch off things (doesn't speed things up).

I had this behaviour in the past as well with another scene.

And then i found this one, since then no probs any longer.

Did you checked behind the oven? I wouldn't be surprised if there's millions of cockroaches rendering.

I will give it a try.
What i learned so far is that if you remove the lightblocker, it will really take much longer to render the scene.
Finding the right balance between light source and environment is really hard.
So now i render upto 2000 samples which looks good enough and it will take about 30 minutes.
The convergence is not reached fully, but that would mean over 5000 samples which in turn will mean over 1 hour to render.
I am using an iray cam (free) which is ok. Now i will check if this does something different and keep the overall vibe of the scene.
