4 second dforce animation loop. The pompom/kushball was surprisingly easy to make; I blendered an ico sphere and set subdivisions to get about 1000 faces, then Extrude Individual Faces with the outermost triangles selected several times to create multiple segments on each "hair" element, added a dforce weight node, and eliminated the weight and re-added so that the center of the ball would retain its shape while the ends of the elements could be operated on by dforce. It could be made more pom-pommy and less kushbally by adding more segments per hair strand (the one shown has only three, and the innermost segment probably isn't moving at all. dForce is very crashy though; I had to simulate each pompom and the skirt separately with all other dforce objects hidden. Whole thing took about 10 hours for physics and another 10 to render on a GTX570ti. Friggin bots have made it impossible to even buy a new graphics card.
