For your information, the motivation has a lower maximum, if the girl is married, if she has a job or if she is still a student. Moreover, do more than one motivation a day, just to have funI was noticing the same issue with brothels as well - didn't test out the motivation though so that could have been my issue too. For me, only about 4 or 5 of my whores were consistently working even though I had about 10 in the brothel. Will try what you suggested about motivation once per day for a week and see if that solves it.
Also - thank you for rebalancing the legal businesses! I'd tried them in most of my playthroughs but to your point, they always just seemed like a waste of money. I get that the point of the game is to reward the player for being evil, but it's still nice to have options.
And yes, legal activities (when I fixed them) were meant to be less interesting than illegal activities. Only the factory can be very profitable, but you have to invest time and caps in it !
PS : I don't have try the 0.56beta, but I try actually the 0.55beta and it is a very good version ==> Well done Noobtrain !
Evil 2 - Version 0.57 - QSP Update only
I'll do a full changelog once I release Part 2 of the 'Family Trouble' storyline on August 17th. This is a bug fix patch only (0.55 Beta base game is still required and is the only required file/version for this update). I feel it is stable enough to remove the alpha and beta status from the version number.
All player reported bugs should be fixed.
Save games older than version 0.55 Beta won't be compatible. You may experience some bugs the first several days in-game. Try running this console command if you run into issues (it may take up to a week in-game for all the new code to be read in fully):
gs'dyn' & gs'dyn2'
The OP has been fully updated and everything on it is correct to the best of my knowledge. I added more info to the FAQ. I also updated the console command list in the 'Developer Notes/FAQ'. There are a few new ones that players have requested.

Progress is going well towards the next major update (scheduled for August 17th). I am still working hard on it. The story portion of the update is 90% completed - coding 50% completed - asset development (pictures and videos) 40% completed.

I was behind schedule and now I'm slightly ahead. I should finish up the story portion of the 'Family Trouble' storyline this week. The story for part 2 should be a lot of fun. I'm not a writer so I get right to the point and move things along quickly (as you could see in part 1). I'm not one that can create page after page of mundane dialog. Nearly everything the actors say in the game furthers the story development to some degree. Some players like this approach while others prefer to read 'Harry Potter' size novels (no offense to either type of player).
There is still plenty to do in coding and asset development, however the story portion of the update is the hardest part for me to do. I am not a writer so I have to work harder and spend extra time in this area in order to be successful. The coding and asset development are the easy parts although they can be time consuming also.
The update will be large. I'm sure all the serial complainers/whinners will show up and complain about the game size. I could do what other real porn game authors have done and just provide 3 second low quality animated gifs to keep the size low but that isn't my speed. It also wasn't the speed of the previous authors who didn't care about file size.
I am attempting to keep the game direction the same as was done by previous authors. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to make a major course correction this late in the game's development (even though some players wish I would). If I stopped developing for the game and another author came along and changed the direction of the game and changed my work, I wouldn't be very happy so I am extending the same courtesy to the previous developers. I hope this makes sense.
The 'Family Trouble' storyline however is new in that it adds a major storyline to the game. Previously, there were 5 random events that added new minor stories to the game (usually adding a new love interest). Players who wanted more romance and deep and meaningful relationships will get that in the 'Family Trouble' storyline. The new story will not be rapey in any way. All sex will be consensual and there will be plenty of buildup before sex is offered. I dislike molesting girls while they sleep and sleep sex so those won't be part of the story either (no offense to those who like this).

Noobtrain, your work to continue this is, in short, incredible. I've enjoyed the original and vipers massive improvements, and your work is taking the cake at the moment. Hopefully, it'll continue for a while to come!
@Corseik - It is good to see that you are still around. You made an excellent mod for Evil. If you are interested in working on Evil 2, the gang system could use an overhaul. Many parts of it don't work well and there are plenty of bugs. I'll get to it eventually but if you want to be a part of this game you are welcome to. Most parts of the game have been overhauled at this point except for a few areas such as gangs. There are also plenty of locations in the game that don't have any content and are just placeholders.

As I said I find the 0.55beta version quite balanced, so here's a little review. Not being a follower of cheats except for the surplus of information (here, there are still cruel lacks in the Evil's game) I noticed 3 small problems:
- Killing a BDSM Dom with 60 lashes is wrong
- Number of NPCs generated at clubs or at the beach are declared to be in prison
- A certain number of gender videos or images are missing
Maybe you have already corrected everything, but I wanted to let you know.

You need to download the full 0.55 Beta version and then install version 0.57 on top of it. Missing videos are a result of using 0.53 as a base and then applying the 0.55 Beta Update only file. Fixed in version 0.57. It is now possible to train a BDSM Dom, it just takes longer and 60 whippings isn't needed. You can still kill a slave by whipping them too much (60 times). I didn't want to change this behavior but the BDSM Dom problem has been fixed (I'm pretty sure this fix is in version 0.57).

I've never heard or seen this bug before. Update your game and see if the problem still exists and then report back.

I am still ahead of schedule for the August 17th release of Part 2 of the 'Family Trouble' storyline. If everything goes smoothly, there is a chance that I'll be able to release it a week early (no promises though).
Even after I finish the coding and asset development, I still have a lot of testing and tweaking to do. There is a chance that I'll release a beta to a few players to test and give me feedback.
Overall, I'm very pleased with how Part 2 has come together!
This is a porn game but I tried to keep the story and sex as realistic as possible (for the Evil 2 game world at least). I strongly dislike games that cater to horny male teen fantasies. For example, an anal virgin takes a huge dick up her ass without lube and loves every second of it and cums from it. You'd be surprised at how many games pull this shit!
