QSP - Evil 2 [v0.73] [community project]

Evil 2 is a game that i have tried, on several occasions, on several different versions of the game, to enjoy. I have ultimately failed every time.

It takes thousands of clicks to get anywhere in the game, and the process to do ANYTHING in this game is just boring. Training skills takes thousands of clicks, raising relationship status or breaking slaves takes thousands of clicks. Organizing a gang robbery takes thousands of clicks.

The game itself is fucking massive, but the actual content is so small in terms of actual gameplay. Yes, there's 50 trillion videos for every position you can fuck a girl in in this game. Would I rather have had a consistent set of clips for one girl and maybe a storyline to go with it? Yeah, I probably would have. The randomly generated women in this game have no personalities. Neither do the men.

Also, QSP engine is awful. This is probably the best game I've played using QSP, and I'm giving it 2 stars. The bar is LOW. Every other engine is just better. QSP looks awful no matter how hard you try.

The whole game is a giant sandbox, and after you play in the sand for a few minutes, you get bored. Once you're bored, you get out of the sandbox.

Evil 2 sells itself as a sandbox, however its range of interactions is fairly shallow. The project has changed hands enough times for it to have lost its way. The "team" of people who "manage" the project don't work on it much. Ultimately the game railroads you into highly limited options and becomes, by their words, more of a visual novel instead of a sandbox.

Overall it's a fairly poor game with no real depth and a disaster of a development process that leaves it more or less stuck in the mud with no clear direction.

PROS

Even with a trash system, all of the devs who have worked on this continuation of a remake greatly improved on the game. It is actually playable now. Having been here since the beginning of this project, it's amazing to see each iteration and the improvements. The storyline, well, it actually has a story now, and the story actually makes sense. The devs removed so much bloated crap that added nothing to the remake (since most of it went nowhere) from the remake. The new contents that are added every update are both fun and good. Thank you spectre1viper, jessicajones, noobtrain, and skybarbie.

CONS

This project is cursed. As of this writing, the dev who replaced the dev who left who replaced the dev who left who replaced the dev who left...is leaving.

The game becomes repetitive very quickly. Meet --> talk --> fuck, do it everyday and you have yourself a gf and later wife. And pretty much the only money making method that will take you anywhere is getting whores. For a game of that size (nearly 20GB!!!! as of v0.64) I would expect A LOT more.

I dont have that much experience with QSP games except for Girls life and 2 others and my english isnt the greatest but heres my honest review.

Compared to Girls life this one isnt too overwhelming, meaning you dont have to watch your food and drink and hygiene and all that stuff which i quite like since i dont want to micro manage that much.

I like the chosen videos and that it adds sounds and stuff like that,after playing again i'd say theres a decent amount of videos lol, but maybe more in different areas of the game like in the club bathroom or something like that. Still great though

What i dont like is that theres no Tips or maybe a way to see what youre supposed to be doing or a little in game guide. (Maybe there is and im blind)
Its pretty annoying for a new player to load up the game and then have to make choices out of the 4 options u have in the beginning. Maybe add a little text to tell you what happens if u click on said choices.

Im not sure if i encountered all the jobs yet, but imo i think the jobs need a overhaul. OR just tiny improvements like asking to up your wage and maybe again a little guide to tell you what to do for the job. For example the bouncer job, I got a job as a bouncer and for the first in game week i had no clue what to do since nothing popped up. After scrolling trough the comments i noticed u had to actually go to the nightclub when it opens.
Im not saying its bad but maybe just a little text that tells you something like that.

Im still pretty new to the game but ive been enjoying the given content and i have much respect for NoobTrain for actually still giving us content since i see a lot of negative comments on the game.

However Im still pretty confused on how to do the quests and some parts like the beach or when u talk to a girl and they keep looking down on u, on how that works. YES I KNOW theres plenty of replies on the comments here that tells you What u need to do and How to do it. But i think it would be better if Those things were said in a different Tab in the game or however u would call it.

I think its a good game, although im not that much into the whole whoring and slaving thing, but all the other aspects im enjoying.

In conclusion i just think the game needs a Little Tips bar to see what u can actually do instead of having to search trough the comments.
Not needed but a little overhaul on the jobs to make it more 'fun' i guess.
And a Quest tab to see Objectives and things to see what u need to do to get to a said Quest.

4/5 , Definetly has potential but seeing as how noob is quitting from working on this game (i think?) i dont think we'll see that much content anymore. Unless someones taking over.

This is just grind to see the number goes up exponentially game with sex flavor splash on it. it's borderline idle incremental game except you have to repeatly mash your mouse.
here let me break it down for you. in a simplified way:
1. meet a girl
2. fuck her
3. fuck her again
4. and again
5.fuck her .... again untill you see option to ask her to be your whore.
6. she refused.
7. repeat prior step untill she accept.
8. put her to work as street pros or cams model or selling drug.
9. repeat.
or if you tired of mashing fuck her pussy/ass button you can buy pre-tame whore from a bar they just not as beautiful(stat-wise).
10.save enough money to buy farm and kidnapped girls to break them in to your slave.
But what's the point? all the girl is just a number there's no attachment to the story or even role playing purpose. you don't see them suffered or anyuthing ,they're just number. there's no gratification or sastifaction.

everything feel like some cheap early 2000s flash game. all stats number are hidden. some repeatable action can lead to unlock but they never hinted at it leaving most ppl to thought that it's just a flavor/immersive button.
and once you have buig enough whores it become a big chore if you try to manage them one by one.

Incredibly slow progress. Lots of videos, yes, but they never build a half-credible story. For me, a good example of quantity (plenty) over quality (none). Moreover, the prevalence of killing-level violence just makes no sense in this type of game.

I really want to give this game 5 stars. But the absence of unique characters early in the game really kills me. Why don't unique characters like Anna and Phoebe appears early in the game? why? why? why?

I kinda stumbled onto this game and it is excellent. The porn sex scenes are hot. The way you can interact with the NPCs are good. I have been enjoying the University start. Really good I have been playing for hours. It does take a while to get your skills up but it gives you something to do and work towards. I really hope to see this game keep improving. It is a great concept and really unique. 5 stars in my book.

My only complaint would be that its somewhat confusing when you first start, but once you get the hang of it, its cool.

"Originality" and a huge number of interesting features have been removed, the new version (in my opinion) is much inferior.

EVIL 2 is an open-world game in which your only true goal is to avoid going bankrupt. Its greatest strength is also its greatest weakness in that it lets the player figure out how to do just that and there are many, many ways to go about it with great success or terrible failure and everything in-between.

After creating your male character (no female option as of yet, get over it) and choosing your general appearance & background you are thrust into the city and... that's it. Everything from then on is up to you.

The beauty of EVIL 2 is while there is grind involved with many activities, the progression feels like you are earning your stripes. And if you want to, you can avoid all of it entirely with a very straight forward, simple, built-in cheating system.

There is also a guide on the forum's OP with answers to most questions and suggestions on how to get started and so much more. New players should certainly read that document should they feel overwhelmed by the game... odds are, the answers to your questions are in there.

EVIL 2 also offers a lot of fetish/sexual content. It is however a game first that could be enjoyed even without any of its porn/sexual elements. You can technically play for in-game years without ever committing a single 'evil' act and still have a good time; although you'd miss out on the game's best content.

Other than not going bankrupt, EVIL 2's goals would have to be experiencing jessicajones' 5 events and then noobtrain's and skybarbie's additional & positively brilliant events. Those additions alone are what make me believe whole-heartedly that, with noobtrain & skybarbie at its helm, EVIL 2's future is looking brighter than ever. I can hardly wait for what is yet to come.

This game is so close to being 4-stars, even 5-stars, but it needs some tweaks to overcome the frustration/fun ratio that keeps happening for this game.

I understand that this is open-ended, but the game is often very bad at showing how different parts of the game work, what options there are, and how those options work and are accessed. As a result, the game can be rather tedious and aimless, especially with all the grinding. This is a game where a thorough walkthrough is a necessity, and the right cheats are needed to deal with some of the bugs and quirks that often come up.

It has potential, but it needs a number of important improvements to reach it.

EDIT: I've found that with programs like QGen, I was able to mod a lot of the issues I've found with the game and add features that I've found useful. However, it is hard to find information on how QSP works, as it is not as prevalent as say, Python or even Ren'Py. All that said, I've been having enough fun with modding the game and playing the modded version that I felt I should give my review another star.

I really like the game for what it is an evil simulator lol. I actually didn't have much trouble learning to play the game and the porn content is high.

- Legit criticisms can often be ignored and fans sometimes can be put down by the creators themselves.

- Honestly just more content and events
- I don't have a strong grasp on QSP's , so i don't know how much this game can improve.

Summery
if you dont mind play as a hertosexual male and dark content then the game is a good time.

Cons:
- Few bugs, lag at end day report
- If you encounter an error, the best way is that you should send a private message to skybarbie to report the bugs and ask how to fix it.

To sum up what to expect from this game:

Think Morrowind.

On one hand, it's a truly expansive game with loads of depth and potential.

On the other hand, it's kind of difficult to get into and you don't know where to start, sometimes feeling confused and overwhelmed by it all.

My experience can be summed up as the following:

Downloaded, holy shit what is this file size, it better be good. Play the game, a bit confused about where to go and what to do, re-rolled character, found the game now much easier to understand with the other character setup (smart student), but also found it clear that there would be a heavy grind and lots of repetitive sex scenes.

This is the type of grind where the game assumes you want slow build-up over time as if you were truly living your life. AKA, you do not seduce the girl on day 1 (you can immediately sleep with girls at a drunken college party, but what they're willing to do is limited), but rather it will take at least a month of game time and catering to her to really get the ball rolling.

This is as much of a strength as it is a weakness: I think this is a pace some people would enjoy, but it's also a game style you have to be looking for/in the mood for; there's surely some that would run from it.

My beef: a missing tag is "text-based," and the reason I say this should be included is that 99% of the characters are represented by generic sex scene clips that get repeated regardless of your partner. For example, if you seduce Alexa, Elisabeth and Becky, all three of them lack profile pictures, their beauty is just a very simple text description about what they look like, and the sex scenes attached to them are not in any way specific, but rather a generic catch-all pool of porn clips that could be played. (aka, clips don't vary based on bust size, race, hair color or whatever; a beautiful character and a modestly attractive one by text description has seemingly no effect for you and probably only changes things like how much they can earn when pimped)

For me, this means there's little motivation to dig much further because it means characters lack identity. You don't feel attachment to them or like X character has a specific appearance and specific kinks. Instead, their individual appearance and kinks - while existent - seem very loose by definition and flexible in the sense you see only limited effects of what's listed. (kinks exist, but my assumption is that this only changes how quickly or slowly you can train them to agree to/enjoy a certain act)

I do want to preface I didn't play extremely long, so for example other reviews have mentioned a family sub-plot I did not experience on my playthroughs. Very possible the characters seen here are more fleshed out, but otherwise my critique stands. This 100% seems like a game where I could be completely wrong on some aspects because it takes time to truly understand the mechanics in play.

In short: there's no denying there's probably a fun, expansive game with loads of features and things to do in here somewhere. However, admist generic porn clips and what seems to be a slow start where lots of interactions must be unlocked first, it's a respectful pass from me; not a bad game by any means, just not what I'm looking for. (also yeah holy shit that file size, gimme my PC space back lol)

Excellent sandbox game. You can customize grind using built-in cheats and console codes.

After you grind for a while you can experience 5 random events and the Family Trouble story towards the end of the game. The family story is probably the best part of the game and adds incest content.

noobtrain really did an awesome job of cleaning up the game, fixing bugs, improving features, and adding an immersive and deep family story to the game (2 parts). I was floored at how good the family story was. It is really a masterpiece.

If you like sandbox type games and don't need a lot of handholding then this game will be a great fit for you!

This game just has so much potential and it's definitely one of my favorites. However it lacks that polish you can encounter a lot of bugs, some game breaking some just silly. I love the concept too you're just thrown into this crazy world with the goal of being the evilest bastard that ever lived. I see that the original devs abandoned the project and I'm so happy that someone else has taken it over and is trying to make the game even better. One of the things I'd like to see is the female protagonist/gay content restored. I'd also love to help on the project for free if it that is somehow possible, I have very little coding experience but I'm willing to learn. I'd be glad to help with anything, really wanna see this game achieve the full potential that it has. That's all from me I hope this was helpful in some way. PS I was reviewing v0.57.

Great game enjoyed it alot so far.
The Harem tag, I can't seem to find a way to marry a second wife or even make 'her a mistress'.
I would like a mid range house. cheap apartment to mansion is a big painful jump.
Later in the game at mansion, I could not find a slave room, barrack, why must I hire people and not just train slaves to fill those jobs?
