is there a roadmap for whats being worked on? i'm really glad people haven't given up on this game. Ive looked through some of the code to try and adjust a few things myself but didn't have much luck beyond allowing trans streaming and reducing starting money for all starts.

There might be for the original Russian game, which, the last time I searched for, I could not even find. Every so often (after a year or more at this point) someone posts a translated version here, riddled with bugs. Anonymous88 used to work on it, but he hasn't been active at all here in a long time, in spite of getting notifications.
