Finding a game where you can play as a bi/pan/i don't care MC is pretty hard.
At the end of the day I know that the majority of the devs won't add those options simply because they don't swing that way, but if some do and they're on the fence about writing it, this game is a great example of providing options without spooking the entire straight audience (some were probably spooked, can't win 'em all)

It's actually been suggested that the primary market for shemale or trap porn is straight males - women generally aren't interested and it's not gay enough for gay men. Anecdotal observations from a few different people who worked in adult video stores tended to emphasize it was always guys who were buying/renting straight porn who also went for the other.
Though there's probably an argument in favor of the idea that it's a way for straight men to explore their own incidental homosexuality through more socially acceptable means or by sort of splitting the difference. But I tend to favor that interpretation because I've always been a fan of the Kinsey Scale more than just assuming everyone is either/or (or both). Basically assuming degrees of attraction.
Otherwise I definitely fall into the same sort of camp as you - I'm perfectly fine with penis, but it's got to be on someone who looks relatively feminine/pretty. Though I also extend it to crossdressing if its extremely passable.
This is my ideal. I just like having the option to make choices.
But it's also understandable why most games have limited choices. Because every extra preference or fetish catered to increases the workload, takes longer to develop, and doesn't necessarily add a huge amount of extra income to justify it. So most devs have to try and cater to the most common denominator preferences (which is why landladies and roommates have become so common in games these days).
