I gave the game another try, but so far, this is really horrible.
Boring, dull, it feels as if you have to grind despite not having visible stats and a sandbox, the girls aren't great-looking and their personalities are annoying.
If this continues in this way, that's it for me.
The positive reviews are really weird. It's like they played a different game.

extremely conflicted some parts hit hard and are well done others not so much the writing at start feels off i dunno but it grew on me as for the renders hot dang its a stinker at times but overall average, however i can look past that and i'll keep a eye out.

PTOLEMY needs to upgrade his models, because the Gen 3's are looking really dated.

I have expectations of blue balls...
still no action at all no fucking no nothing so i would skip this update and allow for several updates to pass before you try it again because this looks like a slow burn to a certain degree
Alright Imma say it. PTOLEMY and LikesBlondes were never any good and people look at their games with rose tinted glasses, because pornographic and romantic gratification can be strong appeasers. Whenever the peepee doesn't go hard, the low quality of their games becomes offensively obvious.
Every single character these guys have ever written has the exact same personality and mannerisms, like e.g. barking very short sentences and constantly repeating questions back at each other. What's supposed to count as characterisations in their games are random OOC bouts of motivation to move the plot forward at random times.
Tell me how to even tell PTOLEMY and LikesBlondes apart, even for their games they supposedly didn't work on together (Viitgames also has a suspiciously similar style; they wouldn't be the first to triple dip on Patreon). If it was just one guy shitting out content at a rapid pace, we'd have an explanation for the quality of their games.
It's all so bland. We get a more or less interesting premise and then a string of seemingly unmotivated plot points that leave you scratching your head. The visuals consist of dead-eyed mannequins in random copy/pasted poses simply spat on a background, as if staging is a foreign concept.
Now we have this game here "Expectations", which has the same unskilled and outdated visuals, but doesn't even have a premise. Here's how this game goes throughout:
Take a look at this kitchen from a very specific but randomly chosen angle. "Gotta go to school."
BOOM! Have a picture of a chalkboard. "This is boring, let's go home."
Hmm, I guess this would count as a picture of a living room with a couch and stuff, so we're now at home I guess.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"Have you seen landlady?"
"Landlady?"
"Yes."
"I've seen her around."
"Around."
"How are you doing?"
"Fine."
"You look pale."
"Pale?"
"Gotta go."
Picture of a bedroom. Picture of a kitchen. Chalkboard. Couch. Kitchen. Bedroom. Disorienting amish guy jump scare! Kitchen. Chalkboard. A random parking lot appears, maybe we're still in front of the school? Livingroom. Bedroom. Chalkboard. Oh wait, the same parking lot now belongs to a completely new place! etc. etc. plus sprinkles of "He He..." and creepy facial expressions that put their game Rebirth into a new light, because I always thought these expressions were supposed to be a vampire thing.

I was running this game in Windows and decided that I would like to try this in Linux. I copied my Windows folder Expectations-0.35-pc to Linux, the game starts and runs fine, but it doesn't find my save games from Windows. The are in the games/saves folder. Does renpy Linux expect them to be some where else? TIA.

In Windows, there is another area that has all your Ren'Py saves, besides the game folder (game/ saves) location.
C:\Users\...Your PC's Name..\AppData\Roaming\RenPy
Using Linux
- Most Linux consoles start in the home directory or this --> ~
- In there type cd .renpy <enter>
- Then ls <enter> find the name of your game and go there with another cd
- If you're using a file manager, usually Ctrl+h will show you hidden files and then you can easily navigate to them.

I had high expectations for this game but the writing and lack of sex scenes makes it feel like we'll only see an actual sex scene towards the end of it
That was exactly what I needed. Copied all the save files from windows RenPy save area into .renpy/ and it now sees the old saves. Thank you so much.
This, really fucking this. It wasn't bad with Dana and with the first LB game, or Haley's with Wit, but even Taming the Brat went down this shit. Not only the style, dialogues monologoues are recycled but the models and animations as well. Weirdly, these are the only games where before an animation begins the game lags out for a few seconds, like wtf. This team up trio hurt them more on the long run both in quality of the games and in quantity of the subscribers.
