read the reply above u. and feel ashamed to not understand.
I do understand. You're trying to use being poor as an excuse to reject reality. Again, 90 USD will get you a computer new enough to OFFICIALLY support Win11. I know people on welfare and even they could (and do) manage to scrape together 90USD in the last DECADE. That's less than 1USD a month at that point.

Everyone who bought W7 or had a PC with a W7 license got W10 for free, and both the W7 and W10 operating systems are similar in their hardware requirements.
Also, very much THIS. This has nothing to do with being poor, people are just trying to find a way to justify still running 7.

old computers can't install windows 10. it require tpm/bitlocker chip. even newer cheap laptops can have issues if u try to upgrade.
also I do not understand. u are so egoistical. dont give a crap about others at all. so fk spoiled. not all people in the world can just go buy a computer, they dont want to waste money.

so, u argue because u dont want the DEV to add more information how to run it if u dont have w10. unbelievable. no empathy at all.
You want to hold onto ancient tech, that's on you to adapt or be okay with not having access to anything new. It's not on everyone else to ensure compatibility for the past decade+. That's insane.

Also, empathy? You're on a porn forum, we're all psychopaths here. We don't know what that word means.

For what it's worth, Windows 10 can be installed without the TPM/Bitlocker chip. Windows 11 requires it but there is a workaround available for older systems that do not have the TPM available on their motherboards. As far as those who are asking for Windows 7 compatibility, Windows 7 was the last OS from Microsoft that actually worked out of the box. Neither 10 nor 11 can lay claim to that.

There are still Windows 10 32-bit installations out there, though, which can run on 4-8GB of memory. Will run slower than a snail on an expressway, but it is possible. But purchasing a $90USD computer just so it is Win11 compatible? Why bother, as everything running on it will take too much time to be efficient. The "minimum" hardware requirements for Windows 11 is technically 4GB of RAM, 2GB of video and 10GB of hard drive but maintaining that system is more effort than it is worth.

No, thanks to the COVID Pandemic, the prices of computer parts have gone through the roof and what used to be fairly inexpensive in building your own computer has come to "modern," up-to-date video cards costing more than an actual computer does. An 8GB DDR5 video card can cost over $1,000USD brand new, a newer chip can cost several thousand by themselves without a cooler. You can look at spending close to $5,000 minimum to have a modern enough system to keep up with others but if you can build a computer yourself, you can customize it to how you want it, not the way a mass manufacturer builds it for you.

I can build computers from the bottom up, I fix them for a living. There are ways you can save money by building your own system but I can certainly understand those who don't want to be bothered, so you pay someone else to build a system for you. Whatever works for you is fine but don't expect the modern day era to accommodate those who have been left behind.

How do you finish this? She's one action away from the bar being full but I've clicked everything.

its not up to u to decide that mobius.b. people use whatever they want and not all people are rich and can afford to buy a new computer. u can't even install windows 10 in old computers. learn that before u judge.

anyway, its good that u updated the requirement so people know about it before they download.
also, its good if u can figure out what more u need, such as installation of visual studio redistributable or any packages/runtimes.

like our game include a "webpsetup" as webp codec is not always in the OS.
First of all, I didnt decide on anything. And wrong, you are just wrong. Win10 is a free upgrade from win7 AND win10 has LOWER specs requirement than 7. Win10 was designed to run on a freaking tablet 10 years ago... Any pc running win7 when win10 came out was capable of running win10. What are you even talking about?! Maybe you should learn before ranting about such nonsense.

3 computers of people that I know failed to upgrade. one laptop and two desktop. one with good hardware as well and lots of memory.
one with the automatic upgrading. two with a w10 installation disc.
the reason was tpm/bitlocker for all 3.
maybe theres some hacks but nothing they knew how to do.
so Im saying its not that easy as u think and people get comfortable with what they got.

most windows-engine on this site works with w7. ren'py, rpgmaker, unity, well. most.
Im actually a w7 user myself and I dont get issues.

now, we got this game here that I have not tried. and u ask people to buy a new computer or be left behind?
get real man. stop trying to be the smartest in the class. this is not about who knows the most but to help people and have compassion.

also, again: why do u care?
this is for those that can't run it. if u can, wtf do u care? stop being a bully and get lost.
It's pretty simple.
Unreal Engine 5 is designed for Windows 10 and up. That's the engine the dev has chosen to use.
It's not upon the dev to figure out magical tricks to somehow make the games backwards compatible with the select few who've decided to stay with windows 7.

You've made your choice. You don't get to dictate extra work for a game developer to cater to a niche audience.
It should have been apparent after a few short moments that you, and this game, are not compatible.
Realizing this, you should've just moved on and accepted the consequences of your decision, rather than trying to force work on the shoulders of others.

Now if you absolutely want to play a game in Windows 7, there are ways to alter the game to often make it work.
I will not tell you what those ways are. Use google, figure them out yourself and do your own work rather than forcing others to work for your selfish desires.

That's like owning the very first Apple macs. Hey, I got one of those.
