I have this problem where the checker re-downloads images of archived games where i deleted the images.
The option "Refresh if archived" is disabled and i use astc compression with "Compress Replace" disabled.

yeah currently it refreshes anyway if image is missing, it considers a missing image as an "incomplete entry" of sorts for that game so it just forces a refresh to fetch the image. i'll consider changing this behavior so it respects the "refresh if x" settings

I don't know if it would be worth the effort, but maybe a button or some kind of toggle per game that deletes it's existing images and blocks the images from being re-downloaded.

you can enable weighed score in the manage section, which factors the amount of reviews when using the score for sorting, which im guessing is somewhat your objective (separating very few very high scores from very many somewhat high scores). but to answer your question directly, no thats not possible currently
Thanks a lot! Yes, weighted is likely what I would want in most circumstances. However, in this particular instance, im a wierdo and have a different need.

Just sharing what I do, not asking you to implement any support for this. I have a threshold system where I factor in the minimum number of reviews before I look at a game to consider if I should play it. And a high threshold of number of reviews above which I veto myself into try the game even if I don't think I'll like it. So basically, I have a list of games which have entered my system and I need to check if they've crossed over the arbitrary thresholds of number of reviews I've set for myself.

I'm still able to use this and its a huge timesaver as-is which the features already shipped, I just need to use it in ways its not intended and I have to eyeball the number of reviews number. Perfectly manageable and fully worth it on my end.

Thanks a lot for this tool! I've already left a positive review as well!

not sure if anyone else noticed it, looks like the cache server was unresponsive for a few minutes. not sure why that happened, guessing a freak accident; restarted the host forcibly and its back up. ill keep an eye open in case it happens again

quick question: anyone actively using ASTC compression? from my experience, hardware support just isnt there, so ive been using BC7, and im debating whether to include ASTC in the C rewrite. but if someone's using it ill definitely include it. (im still months away from getting to the point where the C rewrite is reading and saving compressed textures, but im planning ahead)
I use ASTC and although AMD took part in the development they sadly don't provide hardware support.
Though i would be okay with BC7 too.

A suggestion for the new F95Checker UI:

Half star rating
Rating.png

Occasionally I want to rate a game 2.5⭐or 4.5⭐, but the rating only allows full stars, so the final rating needs to be round up/down.

Is there a way to tell the program which version I have? I don't have the most up2date version of every game, but when I add the exe, it assumes the game is up to date.

Also a suggestion:
Reordering Labels and allowing one game in multiple tabs.

Reordering Labels
will be coming in the C rewrite

been planned for a while, at this point i'll implement it in the C rewrite when i get to it

allowing one game in multiple tabs
dont see that working out well, at that point it would be redundant, just another thing like labels, and also doesnt really fit the purpose of a "tab"

Bottom right corner.
they didnt explain it super well but im guessing they meant "tell it what version of a game i have installed/played", since the checkboxes only allow setting to either the latest or the installed version. someone else suggested it like a year ago and its been on the todo for a long time, will see about getting it done in the C rewrite

Now that you mention it, I see exactly what you mean, and it sounds like a good idea(the rewrite stuff). By the way, can you add customizable checkboxes in the rewrite? You know, checkboxes I can rename?

you mean a way to change what the "finished" and "installed" checkboxes say, but leave their functionality as is?
No, add a custom checkbox. I can give it a name and label to use as I want. For instance, I have been wanting to add a 'downloaded' checkbox for a while, but it was a really low priority for me, so I haven't mentioned it.

the "installed" checkbox that already exists is made to fulfill the same role a "downloaded" checkbox would, i dont see how a second one would be useful?

It is kind of useful. I have sometimes limited Space on my Games-SSD so I can't "install" the Game on it right away - but I have a second SSD for storage, so I download that Game and put it on that second Drive until I have free space again on my Games Drive. In this scenario it would be nice to see that I have already Downloaded that Game, but not installed yet.
I hope that makes sense to you how I explained it, english isn't my native language.

Like I said, it's been a low priority.

The reason I would like a downloaded checkbox is that there are times when I have a LOT of titles to download, and I want something to indicate - 'I downloaded it'. Then, later, when I have the time, I will install them.
