Is there any way to deal with the "Failed to parse necessary sections in thread response" error? I searched on the main post but theres no mention of it there, I already have the latest version (10.2). This seems to be related to the 429 HTTP error, so I lowered all "refresh" settings, left only 1 worker, 60 seconds timeout, 2 retries, and still can't get it to finish (it errors after around 50 games parsed I believe, but I have a big library, so it takes forever to do a full update)

Any solutions to that yet?
yes, the beta.

You can upgrade to the beta until there is a new release.

How you compress images?
if you look in the %appdata%\F95Checker\Images folder, you'll notice that almost all images are jpeg or png and some gif's. Converting them to WebP will reduce these greatly in size without noticeable loss of quality.
You can convert them with any good imageviewer program like

yeah, it's possible I downgraded the beta to the main version. I didn't delete the game. At most, it was removed from f95.
should be fixed now, i pushed a new build. also identified a small memory optimization with how timeline events were stored in ram

That brings me to the next question, why not instead of copying the link to clipboard, use it to open the page?
just finished this, its in new beta build.

direct download links (redacted as xpath expressions due to cache api):
- left click: integrated browser to find link on page, then either open in chosen browser or keep integrated open if integrated is the chosen browser
- middle click: integrated browser to find link on page, then copy link and close browser

masked links:
- left click: integrated browser to unmask captcha, then either open in chosen browser or keep integrated open if integrated is the chosen browser
- middle click: integrated browser to unmask captcha, then copy link and close browser

f95zone forum links:
- left click: open in chosen browser
- middle click: copy link

I've used this
It doesn't required uploading, so compression takes something like 30 seconds. And then I used faststone image viewer to delete name "compressed_" from the new files.
There are probably better alternatives but i didn't want to install any additional software

I see what happened. Your account never posted anything recently. Some threads require atleast 1 post to be viewed, and maybe this was added after your first and only post 5 years ago in 2019. So your account didn't have access to it. 10.2 uses your account to access threads, the beta uses a cache api with a zombie account for f95checker, and I know for a fact it has access to that thread, I just opened it.

build 1285, these 3 games aren’t updating in the tool:

Become Someone
Waifu Academy
Guilty Pleasure
something had gone wrong in the cache api latest updates watcher, not sure what exactly tho. in the logs there was a timeout error, but the error handling just makes it sleep 5 minutes then resume again, so by all means it shouldve still been running. just in case, i also changed the logic to use the same exact latest updates API call that the website does, with sort=date and also including a _=(current timestamp) to make sure it doesnt get an old result. theyre fixed now

Did the finished and installed flags change how they work?
Previously a checkmark for finished and installed would wipe itself if there was a new update(installed would go half-cocked?).
But now i see a game that the Finished checkmark was not wiped, but the Installed changed to half-cocked.
After finishing an update i generally do both checkmarks.

Here is how it looks in app.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

And that is the entry in the db.sqlite in the Roaming folder.

I never used the "Finished" Flag, but for me this looks very intentional in the way that you finished the version you have downloaded/installed but with the "half-cooked" flag from the download you know, that your finished version is not the newest version.

Generally the "Young Again" is how it looks when it is updated but i havent touched/played it yet, while Projekt passion was played and marked updated and finished and will look like Young Again when a new update drops. And this has been this way for ages on 10.2.

Ok, like I said, I don't use the "finished" flag, but if it does work as you just said, then that is indeed very curious as to why it was changed in the beta.
E: Maybe it is to have a better indication that you have played a version before. Because looking at your screenshot from 10.2 it looks alot like you never played/finished the game after it got updated and that might be a bit misleading because you played the game but not the most up to date version

That's because you only used 10.2. It was changed almost a year ago at this point in beta

Check the readme / OP FAQ, it explains the checkboxes. But in layman's terms, the installed checkbox is used to compare what you have installed to the latest version (half checked means outdated version is installed), while the finished checkbox is used to compare what you have played to the currently installed version (half checked means you had previously finished playing an older version than what you have currently installed). If you have both checkboxes fully marked, then an update happens, the installed checkbox is half set because the installed version is not the latest one, but the finished checkbox remains fully set because you finished playing the version you have installed. Once you update the game and mark the latest version as installed, then the finished checkbox will change to half set, to indicate that you have more content installed than what you had previously finished playing.
Half set installed = update available
Half set finished = more content to play in installed version
Both could be half set too: consider latest is 1.0 and you have both checkboxes fully set. 1.1 update comes, now installed is half set (1.0 installed != 1.1 latest). You update the game, now finished is half set (1.0 finished != 1.1 installed), installed is fully set (1.1 installed == 1.1 latest). A new 1.2 update comes before you play the update that you installed, now both are half set, because you haven't finished playing content for the version you installed, and there is also an update available (1.0 finished != 1.1 installed, 1.1 installed != 1.2 latest). At this point you install the 1.2 update, installed is fully set (1.2 installed == 1.2 latest) and finished is half set (1.0 finished != 1.2 installed).
