You sure you pressed the "patch your savefile" button at the home screen? Doing this should allow you to play normally, unlocking all the content and preventing any bugs. I've seen a lot of people missing it and facing bugs. It also requires that you've started a new game after 0.40 was released. If your playthrough started before 0.40, patching won't help. Send me your savefile if you're 100% sure you did press the "patch your savefile".

Well, yeah, it requires effort, and I wouldn't call it a piece of cake, but it's also not that hard. Reddit, xvideos, pornhub, redgifs, even yandex image search (google is just way worse) - you just browse those sources and eventually come across some amazing clips. Writing is a lot harder than collecting media, this I can say for sure.
