Ah yes, what the final piece that everyone has been missing: network integration of porn games.

Why do you need an auto-updater for a game that never gets any meaningful updates?

Imagine supporting them on patreon and literally paying to get infected with malware.
Well, if you've played the game, then you know that this feature is completely optional. During the first start, you can choose the option that suits you, and if you change your mind later, there is also a corresponding option in the settings that you can turn on or off. The only thing that will change is whether you receive updates on time or not.

Anyway, it's strange, how can you download archives and run applications from developers that you don't trust?

In our case, this is extremely unlikely. The auto-update feature is essential for the convenience of users, as it allows for quick bug fixes and the addition of new content to the game. Therefore, after testing, only patrons will be able to access our server.

That's absolutely true.

Anyways, I'm happy to see this project back, if it goes serious I consider supporting it on Patreon. Keep on rocking! :D

Does anyone know how to find that "Grumpy Old Man" content?
In the V13 residential sector, you need to check the room above the cafeteria, the next day after the spanking event, with a lust of 75 or higher.
That's absolutely true.

Thank you, it's nice to hear that. This month, we plan to add several events through the auto-update system. Follow the news.

I have played such games that sync before, and it can be done in... benevolent ways.

But this is a low trust environment. Why would they think it's a good idea? It can be convenient. Sure. But like... how can we trust such a thing? Even if it's 'optional', the functionality existing makes it difficult to trust that it cannot simply be turned on regardless of our choice. The only way to be safe is to manage to manually deny it such permissions. Anything the game itself presents to turn it off is not trustworthy without cracking it open ourselves and seeing exactly how everything works. If you ALREADY don't trust it, why would you trust the off switch it provides?

And even if everything is OK and above board right NOW, such a syncing system makes it impossible to be certain that an update could not simply provide a direct tunnel to send malware through.

With static archives and applications, you can look at the comment section of such a thing, and wait and see if braver souls than you run into any issues or malware. Then, you can try it out with a measure of safety. What such a system as syncing with a server means, is that you can NEVER feel that measure of safety, because at any moment your innocent game could become malware.

It's an entirely separate beast. Sure, at this point this would be a LOT of work just for a malware tunnel. But who knows what's going through their head? Perhaps they're tired of the project and think this would be one last use for the project. I don't know. I don't KNOW them, but I do know that I cannot hold them legally accountable for anything they do, and they have decided to turn their game into something they could use to fuck me over if they really felt like it.

It's just not worth the bother.

You have written so many words, but the answer to all your concerns will be very short - firewall.

Hello, what means that "legacy" version?
This is the Windows 7/8 version of the game.

WARNING! I have no idea if its this download or GoodLustEvil, but after the download for fall out finished, my internet suddenly got really slow until it completely stopped working, whether i hotspotted from my phone or used my router. Malwarebytes found 24 infections and I found a random PC that added shit to my Windows Scheduler. I'm pretty tech savvy so I knew immediately that my PC is attacked and got rid of it, *hopefully all traces*.

The first thing is did was change my wifi adapter's proxy settings from auto to a manual address and a few other things, once I swapped them back to auto, my Internet started working again, ONCE AGAIN, BEWARE!

You don't get a virus/malware simply from downloading a file. You have to do something with it. You likely did something else.
