VN - Ren'Py - Family Faring [Ep. 7] [Royal Games]

I'm only giving this a 1 star because it had so much promise just to throw it all away. The dev is scared of being banned for loli stuff, so he remodeled the loli characters and now they just look weird. Also, any incest stuff is gone now. It's like he doesn't know the concept of an incest patch. Don't bother downloading this game if you are actually expecting any content with the daughters

This is going to be my first review.
I played this game in its early days, back when the younger models hadn't "pumped up."

The last update before the change was starting to get pretty juicy. Like that "truth or dare" scene where you could end up with everyone naked.

Things were starting to get really interesting, and then...

The change came. Everything was restarted and remodeled from the beginning, taking ages to update. Each update was what we'd already seen, but with the "loli" models being "busty loli," which looks pretty ugly and weird.

And now it seems like any content even remotely close to incest has been removed, almost as if it were self-censored. In this last episode, I find myself standing before the two daughters, who don't know whether to change in front of MC. You answer, they don't seem to care as much anymore, and suddenly, poof, next frame, they're perfectly changed, and you haven't seen a thing.

A terrible disaster. A huge shame. A wasted effort.

According to the description, I really do want to like this game.

Grapics are average at best, which I can live with.
I´m more of a story guy. I don´t need animations, I don´t need graphics up to contemporary standards.

I, at least, need acceptable graphics standads and a good story.

And this is, where the problems start.

The Beginning: An implyed ambush in a warzone, followed by some ugly lawyers in a legal battle, again followed by some more combat footage... not a good start for a porn game. Could have been handled with a couple off lines in plain text. Graphics here are really unnecessary.

The story: I don´t know much about the story, yet. What I do know is, the story reads like it it is told by a horny teenager just starting puberty and discovering the other sex.
A little overcomplicated in narration, too.
That´s the first missing star.

The other star down is just because of the UI.
I apreciate the possibility to set the textbox opacity from the get go,
I very much question the use of a small white font on a light greenish backgroud which is allmost impossible to read, if you´re not using an at least 4k screen. Who does that?

Decisions to make are exempted from the textbox. White colored font, mostly on light, even white colored background. Unredable and unchoosable if not for the use of the walkthroug mod. Which ads green color to the best choice but does not make it mor readable because of the font size and missing textbox.

The forced use of a mouse for decisionmaking in a game engine that´s (most likely) optimized for keybord use. Another no go.

If playing the game without a mod is allmost impossible, I think my 3 star rating is pretty generous.

The increased support seems to be doing a lot for the length of updates. While in some ways I can understand being frustrated that content with the daughters hasn't moved faster it wouldn't make any sense in the story for significant progress with them to be made already so I am happy that things are going slower. It seems like the dev learned from their previous game attempts and consistently produces high-quality renders that fit the story. There was one animation in the last update that looked like the MC's dick was being snapped (just unnatural motion) so hopefully that gets ironed out in the next update. I'm hoping the game gets completed as it is one of the best in the genre.

Family faring a story about a father and his 2 daughters. I read through the overview when this first came out and thought oh, interesting. I played the first couple of releases and thought this game had potential. Eventually I got tired and said. I will just wait after a few releases and see how it is. This didn't stop me from download it and looking to see how the content was growing through the gallery. Today I lost all interest in this game. One daughter had some build up in the beginning, but it seems like nothing has been done since then. The other daughter has the most content out of any character and that is NTR content. It seems that the dev has heavily focused on her NTR content, which means nothing if you play the game with the NTR filter on. The father sleeps around with other characters. So, in this story called Family Faring, there is less focus on the family and more focus on the father sleeping around and one of the daughters being NTR'd. I've lost any and all interest in this game and it will be the last time I check on an update. The dev may have future plans that would interest me, but I'm not going to wait around years for that update. I'm done.

Really enjoyin this one! Quality story & graphics - this game is a full package. I also respect the developer sticking to the game tags and his vision, without giving in to bad comments. Love the comprehensive story that develops with each update. Keep up the good work!

It is a very early stage to comment wether this game will be a 5/5 or 3/5 because all the stuff that are adjacent to the sory that makes the crucial difference between 3 and 5 are perfect.

That is to say the evelopment of the main relationship is very slow burn and hence one can't really judge how this game will trun out.

What I can do say with confidence is that there are so far no consequence for any actions, and Girls seems to jump on the MC expect the main relation, And while I commend the larter the prior is good fap material but never goes beyond that , except may be in the case of Blue haired chick (but even then development is too gradual). That is even more suspect because the relationship he is develop[ing is with mosetly underage girls, and It kinda feels there should be consequnces and if not there shd be soild development of the fact that these relationships are taking place.

I will wait Till some more chs are written out, as of now it is merely 4/5 .

Very hot. Luckily NTR stuff is optional. I enjoyed this a lot. It was decently written and actually has something resembling a plot. Will come back once updated.

So far I didn't find the content interesting enough and the story moves a bit too slowly. Renders and animations were good. If it continues to be developed, something good will come out, but for now it's at a very early stage.

really like the game good amount of choices, hot renders and if it gets a bit more substance and kinks it will really become truly an amazing masterpiece.

love the ntr, i would have it emerge as a choice rather than that eye though because it is quite easy to misss

Going to go with a 2.4 (okay) rating on Family Faring (Ep 5 P1).

+ Attractive characters
+ MC that isn't weak or creepy
+ A few sex scenes with non-LI characters
+ Sex scenes actually show interesting bits and aren't still renders

+/- Animations are in the game, but they are usually short

--- No appreciable progress with any family LIs at all. Still at "kissing on lips", not even first base material.
--- Game took ~3 hours to play total, so not much content available
--- Back in late 2023, all smaller models (LIs) were increased in height for whatever reason. There are no more Lolis in the game, despite the author having a Subscribestar account that doesn't prevent it.
-- Game teases the possibility of threesomes with two non-family girls, but it never happens despite there being two opportunities for it (both scenes are just fucking 1 of the two girls). Big letdown.

I tried to max out the corruption variable so I could open up more scenes of that type, but it really didn't offer much. Door/shower peeping seems to be the extent of it, or the innocence/corruption system just isn't applied well to the tiny amount of content the game offers.

It's hard to give the game any higher of a rating than a 2.4, due to how short it is. And there's very little progress with LIs, or sex scenes overall. Perhaps when it matures more and gets to be 4-5x the current length it'll warrant a re-review. Right now, it's basically a teaser AVN.

Beautiful models for both daughters, I play this game mainly for the younger daughter, the ballet path could have done better...younger daughter is way too naive (like the dev couldn't think of a more cunning way to trick her) and her behavior is a bit inconsistent. She knew she was cumming in her first 2 lessons, but she doesn't know it was an orgasm in the third?

Couldn't care less about the other girls apart from the daughters. Good start nonetheless, giving it a 4 stars for now.

The ingredients for something good are here but I can't help but feel it a tad undercooked.

For instance there's this money mechanic that comes into play a few times. For instance signing your daughter up for ballet costs money. Buying the girls swimsuits does not, curiously.

I get that the concept is abstracted for the sake of the game, but I assume at some point later on down the track a lack of money could arbitrarily gatekeep you from certain choices. Anything like that in these kinds of games is anti-fun in my book.

Otherwise the game is at least serviceably written. Errors are few and not overly off-putting. However the writing style is also quite simple and not entirely engaging. It does the job, but it didn't have me hanging off of every word.

Visually the game is mostly fine.
Decent renders paired with less than decent, wooden animations.

I turned the audio off as soon as the game loaded, so you'll have to tell me if I was missing anything in doing so. The stock beep boop main menu music didn't give me cause for optimism, I can say that much.

All told I liked the game enough that I will probably check back in after a few more releases and if you have a couple of hours to kill I would say it's worth a gander.

Animation: Really well detailed and varied models. Loves the variety show cased in just 4 episodes
Scripting: Well drafted, characters have some individualitity but a little typical, which isn't bad, it gets you into the story
Story: It's a bit early right now, but I'm intrigued and hope we see progress soon.

Overall its a fun game at the very beginning. Right now it just needs more content to really flush itself out. I hope the developer keeps working on this. Once I see that there are more updates I would consider supporting this. Also side note I wish there was a walk through so i understood the long term consequences of my choices but that might be needed for later.

The Remake has awful models for the 'youngest' daughter. Her head is bigger than the MC and she is sometimes* as big/tall as her older sister who was originally 4 years older than her. You can see the size difference in the picture with the 3 main characters on the couch. I believe she was originally ~12 now she's supposed to be 18 and learning ballet and getting NTR'd by her teacher behind your back because she's that dumb. If you want to play a game where your daughter is molested this game, this is for you, for everyone else you may want to skip it.

Hey, I'm thankfull for all the likes but instead of just that Please post your own review so other people can see what you think too. the game needs an accurate rating from the people who actually play or look at the game and for the developer to see what people actually think about his game.

I like the story and the girls, just hope this one will get to the end for once so we can get a complete game....

Girls are looks great, there arent much yet since its still very early days for the game but it does have a nice twins scene atleast so there is a little to come for.

Animations might not be top quality but they are still pretty good and enjoyable.

This will be worth a revisit once it has some real content if it dosent get dropped which seems to be the trend so ill keep an eye out on this one, and make a more in-debt review once it has alot more content, but for now and for what is there its 4 stars but it can still go up and down depending on how it progress and how choices will effect the game.

Well tried it again and its not like theres much more content but a few things was pretty stupid, tryng to play innocent route and you get the choices to peek 2 times wiithin a few seconds where i click dont peek, then a second later MC goes peeking by the door instend? that was a bit odd.

The only issue is really the very slow progress with content, but that is a big issue, another thing is the remake which i just dont understand, Lily looks quite weird now with a head that just dosent fir her body its way to big, i guess some devs are affride to make loli content now which is to bad since it really ruins quite alot.

Good story and didn't want it to end so abruptly. Hope to see more updates in the future. The girls are super cute. Animation is good (not great but good). I noticed the last 2 games buy this studio were abandoned. Hope this doesn't happen again.

I just discovered the game today and have only played it for a relatively short amount of time (I'm out shopping with the girls), but it's still a very promising game.
I'm currently following the corrupting path and am pleased with how "normal" it is so far. The few scenes with Lucy are completely understandable and could happen at any time. What makes it interesting are the thoughts on it.

Even so, the two girls are pretty to look at and Lucy in particular stands out from the crowd of other daughters in such games. She is not the typical busty blonde with lots of make-up but maintains a natural beauty.

Other characters, such as the Twins, are currently providing the exciting moments, even if it's not exactly clear what exactly interests them about the MC. He's not rich, and he's not particularly beautiful either. Just an average guy (who would never experience something like that in real life).

All in all, the game gives me the impression so far that it deserves its 5 stars. And that's exactly what I rate. I don't want to badmouth this game just because the developer discontinued two other games, because the graphical improvements from the last 4 years (see preview images from Innocent Play) should be explanation enough.

So as much as it pains me to say it. I actually like this game... just as much as I liked it last time it was released under a different name,, I would give it one star for the shitty money grab that it is if the story actuly sucked.. but instead all i get is wash rinse repeat for what feels like the third time now.

The animation and renders exhibit exceptional craftsmanship, displaying a notable level of precision. I have a particular admiration for the character designs; the girls are truly stunning, and the main character (MC) is depicted as quite attractive—I also find his design appealing. The writing is of commendable quality, featuring a compelling hook that has successfully captured my interest. I look forward with enthusiasm to unraveling the unfolding narrative in future updates.
