Ren'Py - Completed - Family Secrets: Mommy [v1.0] [74games]

This is a short game, so it doesn’t take long to get the scenes. However, it is plagued by no effort animations. 3D models are below average, accompanied with bland story with very weak writing and abrupt ending.

This is a short (less than an hour) mom/son story with both working in an office environment, with her as the boss. Let's say the story barely fits the bill, it's a bit sketchy and with some excess of expositive text.

Animations are smooth but too mechanical and lacking fine detail, like proper facial expressions, let alone any attempt at physics simulation. This is also a general problem with the renders: the characters feel like stick figures, behaving like robots. The game is very vanilla in this respect.

Due to these shortcomings the characters are barely believable, but it's not the worst novella I've ever played. Let's say it's interesting as a quick and simple fantasy with your mom, but you aren't missing out if you decide not to play it either.

The UI defaults to Russian, third menu option in the main menu opens the prefs and lets you switch to an understandable though not nearly perfect English translation.
