What is a resolution?

well.. just look at the image. 1800x1200.

I only use the number of iterations as a quality control tool.
this image was rendered for about 7,5 hours (3840x2160, 15000 iterations).

Guys.... I do my renders on the notebook. It is not efficient for this.
And like redhavest said, reflective objects in the scene greatly increase rendering time.
