Fantasy or contemporary?

I tent to prefer contemporary.
Mostly because killing always chaotic evil monsters, oversized swords, limet social order, no toilets or showers, etc, etc.
Just feel very simple to me.
I prefer contemporary for simple fact is feels more alive.
Which is why wicked whims > all other porn games.
Simple because it feels more alive.
Also combat is a means to an end.
In most games we kill to progress.
In porn games we fuck to progress.
Combat isnt neccery in all games.

Lord of the rings took home what 11 Oscars? and hollywood studios are like whoa no more fantasy stuff for us, let's just make comic book movies from now on. stay as far away from those trophies as possible. just low budget, no trophy stuff, ever since.

contemporary settings are a dime a dozen. they're cheap, easy to make, and you can make a little money off them, but nothing like an epic fantasy.

I personally think slice of life is done much better in eastern VNs. They have tons of experience with the genre.
And western fantasy (as well as sci-fi) games are better than eastern ones because they don't try to use the same cliche over and over, making the worlds more unique.
