VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Fantasy Valley [Ch.10] [Ancho]

This game so far has a fairly linear, but well told story which I am completely fine with. A well realized world with charming hand drawn art and animations. Frequent updates and great communication. Always looking forward to future updates. Great game overall!

I love this little game.

It's got a great sense of humor. Each character is unique in their own personality, regardless of the familiar trappings.

The art is also unique. Some might consider it rough; I think it's stylish.

The storyline has taken overused tropes and flipped them a bit, so that the reader/player doesn't quite know what's going on. This is likely to cause some people to be confused with the game.

For example, the lead character doesn't start off "heroic", just honest and goodhearted. To some, that may appear wimpy, yet a careful consideration of his story shows him to be quite determined and focused.

He has a strong relationship with his best friend to the point he hooks him up with the hot girl sharing their lodging. Wotta guy!

The plot and cast keeps expanding each episode, which means Ancho (the developer) can broaden both the main story and the potential erotic interactions, most of which are yet to come.

The only thing I can see that might give some players pause is that you actually have to read a lot in order to fully enjoy the story. That's a plus for me, but not for everyone who plays adult games.

If you're okay with that, then you should have a great time with this game.

The bad:

• NTR tag is missing as the MC watches his crush(Sarah) get fucked by Chad McDouche and gets hard from it. Consider yourself warned.
• If you don't like playing as a wimpy stuttering protagonist with the grand total of 2 brain cells i'd advice against playing it. The idea is to develop him from that pathetic state to an "alpha" but there's unpleasantness all along the path ready to kill all enjoyment.
• Dude gets blackmailed by Sarah's friend, an abhorrent, insufferable cunt by the name of Dayna after she catches him peeping. She's meant to be "quirky" and mischievous but she's plain unbearable. It's chapter 5 and she still kicks the MC out of his own bedroom that he pays for to sleep on the couch. She forbids him from telling Sarah about the Douche rival beat you up and i'm pretty sure more NTR scenes are on their way.
• A female "bestie" forces you to be her friend and teases you and tells you not to get any ideas because you're ONLY her friend and NOTHING more. I mean... okay? Your job is to help her find more cocks to swallow but don't get any ideas haha! I don't mind characters that we can't fuck but it's just plain weird.
• You help your nerd friend get the nerd roommate of his dreams but it's stretched and boring.

The good:

• It is a good game that suffers a lot from the above mentioned shit. It's well made. I haven't encountered any errors, there's music, no glaring language issues.
• Art has it's charm. The exaggerated proportions look appealing and might work for others as well. A good selection of scenes but most of it is teasing and peeping given the nature of the MC.
• Plot is pretty simple but interesting. You're the poor peasant with low intelligence, strength, charm, etc and you're up against a conspiracy by the rich. The classic underdog story.
• Some characters are actually pleasant/interesting enough to interact with, surprise surprise! The warm and caring housekeeper, the MILF who needs the young and hung MC, the cool teacher, the dude who totally doesn't sell drugs, etc.
• The MC is changing slowly for the better becoming more bold and growing an actual spine. He's understanding people better.

To sum it up:
It's a good game but with unpleasant elements sprinkled throughout that prevent any enjoyment. I felt it's fair to rate it since it has 5 full chapters but the rating can and probably will go up and the MC develops. He can for example, decide he's had enough of the abhorrent cunt Deyna's blackmail and gives her a nice dose of her own medicine and make her his bitch. Or he can be a forgiving idiot and laugh it off and end the game like a ruined orgasm without a proper payoff like the cuck he would be if that happened.

I love this game. I was iffy about playing it at first glance but I'm glad I did. The game reminds me of all the stories I grew up on as a kid but, with a much more naughty, erotic twist to it. The art is what attracts me the most, I know it's an acquired taste for some but I love it. I also like the MC, not too full of himself, or cocky but not really a pushover either(Aside from McJerk face).

Lastly I love the women, especially Yvette and Sasha. Vera and Morgan are super thicc, which makes my mouth water.
4/5 for me overall.

Art style
Clearing the elephant in the room first - the art style isn't best looking. I was put off by it at first but honestly it grew on me after a while with each passing episode. Find it quite charming now in the sea of all 3D DAZ porn games. The characters are also all quite unique looking and easy to distinguish.

Story
Game's strongest suit in my opinion. Nothing overly complicated. Just guy attending magical university, helping some people and chasing hot babes along the way.
The MC isn't dick or overly wimpy which is win my book. The dialogues are fun to read and without any major grammatical mistakes. Most characters are actual characters and not just boring one dimensional sex objects or plot devices.

Gameplay
Just classic linear VN with some dialogue choices and decisions along the way. As far as I know there aren't any major choices that affect the story in meaningful way. The choices usually result only in different responses in dialogues and so on. Some people might dislike that but I prefer it over branching story that you have to play multiple times to unlock every scene or ending.
My only complaint is that when you are interacting with things on screen you don't see them highlighted until you move your cursor over them. This means you can sometimes miss out on some scenes, especially in free roam parts. Also it makes navigating kinda annoying.

Sex scenes
There isn't that many of them yet but in each episode you get some action. There's some body grinding, handful of handjobs (ba dum ts!) and blowjobs, quite a lot of voyer scenes and I think 3 actual sex scenes (where MC participates).
Lot of them are animated but frankly they don't look very good. In early chapters the MC's dick literally looks like it's made out of play-doh. But the quality majorly improves in chapter 4 and onward. They go from "This is barely fappable" to "Hey, this is pretty good"

Through the second episode, the writing has been surprisingly solid. The cartoonish art style really works and feels fresh, and there's a lot of life built into the world.

I'm hoping that, as the chapters move on, there's a little more freedom to mess around. The whole world feels like a good place to hang out in. Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for something a little off the beaten path, this is way better than the amount of recognition it has received so far.

Great game, excellent and creative art. The story flows great without rushing and every chapter expands the world with great action and female characters. Shame that this game doesn’t have more fans, this guy deserves every cent that he can get.

This game game is well recommended, and features rare combination of solid art with interesting plot and decent English!
As of chapter 4, it features comprehensive world, that Ancho managed to make easy to understand and navigate trough. Game flow is fluid and intriguing, and the most important is nicely done, so you feel love that creator as an artist puts in this product.
Decent English keeps you immersed and grow with characters with distinguishable personalities. My personal impression, like, I read exciting fairy-tale with resemblance of Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio.
I look forward for this game to gain popularity it deserves.

First off this game has such a great introduction! The first chapter really sucks you in thanks to creator's writing and storytelling skills. The art is very unique it's a breath of fresh air opposed to many new creations you see popping up nowadays that stick with the standard art format models. The variety of characters and their own unique personalities really do make the difference as well. Really looking forward to this game's progress!
