This is a pretty unique take and isn't badly executed - but boy is that loss penalty brutal.
The pacing makes a lot of sense the first time through a conversation but it sucks on every subsequent time.
Ideally you'd address that the same way ren'py can - Rollback to previous decision instead of start-over OR at least increase the pace of the conversation.

Thanks for the feedback, we're currently working on a way to handle replaying from particular points in the story. We're using a custom engine since nothing out there fit the kind of game we wanted to make and there's tons of stuff we had to code from scratch, but we're getting there
