The dev started using AI in Love Season to test payers' limit. Unfortunately, I won't pay any more if you have the same story for the 3rd time with AI.

I know in most 3D game development, people use the same modeling tool so sometimes their games are like sharing the same character figures. (For example, the 2 girls below are from different games.) But I still pay the ones at least have a little difference. However, using AI is unacceptable for sure.

That is because a lot of people buy the Genesis models, and import them into their game. Genesis models are highly detailed, high poly, and have working skeletons, so its easy for a game developer to get them into their game and use them.

Yeah, I think it is better than Illusion game models making all chars the same. A problem is once some devs made a good figure, then many others will copy it. The pics I shared above is the result of copying a char from Treasure of Nadia

That goes for mechanics as well. Remember how Batman Arknam Knight pioneered a melee combat system, and then suddenly it was in other games where it didn't work as well... like Shadow of Mordor or Mad Max.

Or even for graphical settings. John Carmack pioneered a lot of graphical methods in Doom 3 that are still used today.
