For me its in this order for settings

1. Fantasy (medieval, elves, nymphs, etc... can do without the uglies like orcs and goblins, unless they dont get sex scenes)
2. Sci-Fi (deep space, aliens, future tech, etc)
3. Modern (normal setting)
4. Realistic Medieval (middle ages, dark ages, iron age, etc... no toilets = gross)
5. Apocalyptic Future (Mad Max style setting... just ewww...)

For girls....

1. Elves (if you make them how they should be... lithe, beyond beautiful)
2. Humans (vanilla sexy human female in MOST shapes and sizes)
3. Aliens (depends on the alien... Twilek and Asari ? YES... Insect girl with a vagina with teeth ? NO THX !!)
4. Monster Girls (only good ones are catgirls... and when they arent full furry... just tail and ears... orcs, goblins, plants, slimes... ewww)

Are there any games like that you'd recommend? Most of the games I've seen in con temporary settings....I don't know, they just make me feel like watching regular porn.
Good question. Depends upon what you're looking for. Summertime Saga embodies a lot of tropes and clichés, but on the other hand it's well-produced and well-organized. The suburban setting creates a fairly natural sense of organization.

Any advice is appreciated man..... but to be honest Summertime Saga is a game whose thread I looked at but don't really feel interested in...
The art is not my cup of tea, and to be honest the whole "the MC is a wayward teenager who needs a date for prom" trope really doesn't appeal to me. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and moved on...... I'm sure a contemporary setting can be great, but I need something more interesting than playing a nerdy teenager.

But like I said, I am really thankful you took the time to make a suggestion.

There are also games with college age and older MCs in their 20s and 30s. Personal Trainer has a 20-something MC and is set in a typical urban setting. My Cute Roommate also is set in an urban setting, and the MC is college age. Babysitter has a 30 something character interacting with younger women and women his own age, in what looks like a contemporary urban setting. A Wife and Mother is set in a suburban setting and centers around a 30-something mother and wife experiencing both a sexual awakening and a plethora of temptations. Very slow paced, though. Depraved Awakening is a completed game with a MC who appears to be in his 30s and is a private eye. Set in an urban setting with some jaunts outside the city.

I like most setting. Fantasy and sci-fy is my personal jam, along with post-apocalypse. Modern day works well if it's utilized well enough. As long as your setting is consistent and doesn't contradict itself - I'm cool with it. Most times a setting fails is when people just throw stuff in and forget to think about the consequences.

Ok man, I'll look them up and once again I appreciate your suggestions.
I did play most of Desperate Awakenings and I enjoyed it (although it's not one of my faves because of a variety of reasons....for example some of the animations have technical glitches that kind of kill the mood for me).

I think, though, that maybe I didn't express myself well..... I don't actually care about the character's age per se, it's just that games with teenage characters mostly have silly stories that revolve around dating and are filled with tropes and cliches I'm sick of.
Desperate awakenings I kinda liked, but not because of the character's age, just because there is more to the story than dating and teenage silliness.

thanks again man
