Given that I don't have any art yet for the game I'm working on, comments like this always make me wonder and second guess to a certain extent, because, just like you, there are people out there who only play daz 3d rendered games (like Karlsson's gambit, Nothing is Forever, Reina's desire, Moving down etc) and dislike anime art in its entirety for example, so you never know which kind of games (drawn art or rendered) really have a broader appeal. Personally I always try not to judge games based on the art style they use (that's why I also play text-heavy HTML games), and more based on how interesting the plot is or how much the fetishes and characters depicted within appeal to me, but especially as a prospective wannabe dev I'm really unsure whether, especially within the femdom community, it's best to go with drawn art or 3d renders...
I get a feeling, from various polls I've seen on f95, and posts tbf, that you are in the majority and most people prefer drawn 2D art to 3D renders, which would make it more futile to spend a lot of my limited time learning all the complex facets of daz studio, and much more beneficial to just hire an artist and even potentially supplement with AI art for various backgrounds in the VN (as long as I can get them to be stylistically consistent enough and fit the atmosphere), so what do you think about this? If your choices would be between a game with some AI art in it, and one with typical similar-looking daz 3d renders, which would you be more likely to enjoy? (assuming the story and sex scenes strike your fancy of course) And, for AI art, what would be your hard limits? (eg, would only AI backgrounds and unanimated objects be ok? Secondary characters without sex scenes? Where would you stop tolerating it?) I'd be curious to hear some perspectives on this stuff, so everyone is free to chime in if they want to!
