I played the first couple of updates. I liked the content but I thought it was too much of a slog to play through for my tastes. Has it been improved in the later updates?
Its different now, but no, it is still a struggle. There should be a better questlog and an explanation what the dom/subpoints exactly doing . The graphics are nice for that engine and i feel like its going in the right directions, compared to the first release.
Anyone know a similar companion style femdom ntr game like "NTRbunnies"? I know "Hero Of Edoriam" and "Nymphomania Priestess" come pretty close. But one of them is early in development. And the other is a mess.

So I've once again checked some new femdom tagged games.
ChatRealm - I'm not the target audience here. I just see no point in reading "chats" as a full game experience. I can simply start chatting with an AI bot, also not a real person, and have more aimed at me scenarios instead. I checked Yen - 1st option - and found no femdom, but as I saw maybe 5% of the game I can't really say what's in there. Not my cup of tea.
2084 - walking in a maze and finding real porn pics and gifs with a bit of text is also not my idea of fun. There's nothing more than that there really.
The Bitch Switch - I'm not a fan of body swap scenarios, plus I'm guessing sissification/maledom is imminent, but imo it's a decent start. Main problem here is that there's no real content, only few dialogues and that's all, just a quick intro. But I'm willing to check updates of this game in the future, can be fun if well written.

This isn't quite right. Sure on the surface level the mazes are a nothingburger, but the meat of the currently existing content is the secrets - in the thread it was described as ARG-like or pseudo ARG, and the first part of the puzzle is realising where to even look. That's what the documents you can find on each floor are clues for, and that's what the intro sequence is pointing you at, telling you to use the game's browser-within-browser, to poke at the source code of certain pages, and such. Notpron has clearly been inspiration.
I'm not too into the genre either honestly and I barely scratched the surface, but from the little I poked at it I got the feeling it's very competently made. In the initial version there isn't anything else to it really and femdom is just the flavour of the dystopian regime, but I have decently high expectations for the game if the planned further content ever materialises.

Even so, I just don't see it very pleasant just clicking around trying to look where to look for some pics and gifs. It could be fun for a game like Pony Island, but for a porn game - imho - not so much. Maybe it's a good game, as you say, but it's def not for me. I also never played any ARG game, so maybe that's part of why I don't find it interesting.

I mean, yes, but also that is not the point of it at all. You're very likely correct that the game isn't for you and the same goes for most people who approached it as "a femdom game", but this is to the point of misrepresentation. The game includes full spoilers in it so if you'd like to see what is meant to be found there, you can open the walkthrough from the game's main menu and look through the secrets there.

What do you think about Black Rose Hotel? Am I the only one who despite liking ANLiS can't get into Zenkuro's new game? I honestly found it pretty disappointing and lackluster, especially since releasing it means there was probably no or very little work being done on ANLiS.

If your reasons are anything like mine, I'd say it's because you put narrative ahead of the erotic scenes, and the new game is clearly designed to have no plot - silent protagonist, no setup, straight to the point.
The scenes themselves are comparable in quality of art and animations to ANLIS (better if you compare it to the early art in ANLIS). and that seems to be enough for a lot of people. especially those who think plots just get in the way of porn games.

Hmm... While the visual side is pretty much the same, I think the scenes are less engaging. There's no build up, no tension here imho, and it's all very predictable. The way we get to know other characters in ANLiS and the choices we make (not to mention a more detailed surroundings) make for a more intense femdom scenes imo, not just suspended in some imaginary simple plot device, but with context to the humiliation coupled with the knowledge we could choose another way. Thanks to that they also overcame my dislike for anime/manga style drawings used. And as it is supposedly a game I'd like to play it, not just be a passive observer of scenes. I think ANLiS stroke a good balance between plot and porn and gameplay, at least for me.
And personal pet peeve: the mentions of "mature scent". It's such a boner killer for me
I always have in my head some old woman's smell when I read it
