On the femdom tag thing, I think it derives from the culture of the forum and the expectations of either a sizable portion of the readership or a noisy and annoying minority (and maybe of the usa? Juging from the polotical discourse seen from the outside). Basically, the threshold for considering something femdom vs maledom is massively unbalanced. A male man-handling a woman, cuffing the wrists, or light bondage, seems to be "normal" or expected and not needing a qualifier, and maledom is too harsh a word for it really. However, if a game features so much as a female in cowgirl position in a vanilla context without a tag, some incel comes out of the bush crying about his fragile male ego and those damned woke sjw cucks.
If I imagine deciding to put my limited time and energy into a niche and deprecated artform, for fun, artistic expression, a negligible amount of money and a very high effort to wank ratio on my part, make the jump, create a game with a minimally assertive female character, because that is normal, a cowgirl scene because I like to watch them titties bounce, and put that out for the world to enjoy, I would absolutely not want to deal with those annoying male Karens. Even if I absolutely think the tinydicks are wrong, and even if I insisted, and argued, and wrote a full disseration with research quotes on why women, as humans, express a range of behaviours that is within the norm, the closetsissies would keep on beeing annoying. It is SO much easier to put the tag, and ultimately achieves the desired result, while not putting the tag achieves basicaly nothing. So I do not blame the creator, posters, or whoever is tasked with putting the tags on.
Now, the tag system is at fault. I have read people complaining about it since I began frequenting this forum. I agree. I did see a banner saying it was gonna be reworked a few months back. I also saw in the relevant thread scepticism about the rework that seems to stem from past experience. For instance, seperate tags for light and heavy femdom would work, or a subtag to qualify the main tag. BUT, I doubt this site has revenu for more than paying for the servers, and most of the people putting work into it are just dudes and dudettes deciding to put some spare time into it. So while the tag system does annoy me, as long as I'm not willing to myself put effort or money into it, I refrain from complaing too much about the people who do, otherwise I would not be better than the abovementionned Karens.
However, we CAN complain about the noisy annoying incel Karen tinidicked closetsissies.
