I realized last time that the categories are pointless as no one actually cares they just want to vote for their fav game
it would be more accurate to just have "top 10 games we beat our dicks to" or somethin like that

honestly yeah, people are going to vote for their fav game first and then decide on what category they want it to be in
do whatever is easiest for you cause you're the one who's going to put the most effort into it

I would much rather just here peoples top games and why, but thats jus me

Imo, the advantage of multiple categories is that we wil find more games on the "top position", but for different reasons. And we will somewhat see the reason for this particular top position. I personally like it, as it sometimes lead me to try different games.

That said, the main dish is surely the FGotY. It should be highlighted, no doubts here. Keep it always on the first position, as it is the most important category. Other categories should be treated as "side"/"optional"/"secondary"/etc.

Nevertheless, I'd like them to exist, as I don't think it would detrimental to the contest.

no. i disagree. do it your way. i like to see what people think about new games, cuz i think we would have biases towards the older ones for picking game of the year

I agree with Evizzy on this one: Top games and and an explanation why.

Maybe you could have two different categories for "Ongoing/Updated Games (must have been significantly updated in 2024)" and "Games released in 2024", get engagement on both old and new fronts.

At the end of the day though, you'll still get plenty of participation and sincere engagement if you choose to go the multiple categories route.

For the main category - Femdom Game of the Year - both new games and games that were updated this year are elligible.

Last year few people wanted to have a separate category dedicated to only new games (that is: games made in the year of voting), so I'll keep this category even tho it seems some of these people are no longer active on this forum.
