Are you gonna do a Latest addition like in the old thread ?

View attachment 2090593

It's nice for those who don't come to this thread every day, but more like once a week and don't want to reads tons of old messages to see what games have been added

You should add this category and add the date you added the game to the list
So you can let the game in this category for 1 month, and when it's been 1 month, move it to the big list
Now that the Finder is in alphabetical order this additional row in the list won't work well. But you've raised an interesting point. I'll be editing the thread later today and will add at least 2 games (and update some descriptions). I think I can use different color pallete for new entries or write after the title "(NEW)", then you can use ctrl+f and search for "(NEW)" to look for the last entries (I'd add the info about it above the Finder). If that's not helpful I can always write titles of the new entries (remember though the Finder hasn't been updated in quite a while so many new entries are for older games) above the Finder without the description, which would still be written normally as a part of the Finder itself.

Also, when I'm adding new game(s) I always write about it the thread in the posts starting with the word "Update".

I tried it and played the Beta route. Quality aside (questionable grammar and an UI designed for a sandbox while the game itself is a kinetic novel so far) there's potential here. No femdom scenes yet, but the boss character and the big sister (futa though) look like promising Dommes. We'll see I guess.
Yeah, many non-choices are unnecessary, sandbox as it is now is pointless (though I assume the dev has plans to make it more sandboxy later), the grammar is not the best, neither are dialogues plus I don't see why he uses the word 'futa' if the setting is realistic, imo trans(woman) would be better. Despite that there is clear sexual tension there and a lot of potential. The Enslavement Wars also wasn't the shining example of good grammar (and graphics), but won over many of us, so Your Place could rise to be a fun femdom experience too. Though I'm definitely not a fan of the blowjob scene, I think we should have an option to say no to it, even if we made some moves on the girl earlier.

That would require a constant rearrangement of the list. That's a big overhead to maintain this IMO.

Currently, there are 187 titles in this list. That's impossible to browse them all if you don't have something specific in mind. I think the alphabetic order might be a good way to organize, but it doesn't offer any value IMO. If I'm looking for a specific tittle, I'll just use the browser search to go straight to it.

------------------------------------------------

I think that this giant list should be cut into smaller lists based on the categories of the list. IMO it should be the Femdom Focus. Sort all Dedicated games to femdom to a different list. Then the Mixed to a second list. And lastly the Marginals.

I would've sorted the list to have the latest additions to the top (or bottom), so that new additions would always go on the top. If a game is updated (and it's entry has more tags, new info etc.) it goes on the top for people to notice. Similar to how the "Latest Updates" works on F95. This way if I'm a newcomer, I would see the list from top to bottom going from the most recently updated, to the oldest. If I'm a regular that visit from time to time, I'd go to the top of the list to see what's new and what I may have missed.

What would also help me as a newcomer, would be a separate list of "Must Play" games in the femdom genre. Something like the Hall of Fame. For example the classic "Estate Dominate" comes to mind. Or the classic hentai game "Discipline". But these are my personal favorites. This can be combined with Mister_M 's idea to do do some kind of poll to decide this. This way if I'm a newcomer, I'd know which are the most representative games of this genre. Also the regulars might discover a hidden gem they might've missed.

-------------------------------------------------

So my list would be:
  • Hall of Fame [This should be only Dedicated Femdom games]
  • Femdom Games [Dedicated to Femdom]
  • Includes Femdom [Has Non-Femdom Elements]
  • Femdom Elements [Includes Very Little Femdom]
And all sorted with the latest entries to the top.

Makes sense tbh. It will require a little bit of work to do it though, I'd use different names for the categories. I'll see what is the easiest way to do this, cause I don't want to make working on the Finder my day job :)

Nice to see femdom in the lead.

my two-cents:

I personally think color coding the titles would be the way to go. I have actually wanted the sites TAGS to be overhauled and color coded like this just to convey information to users:

Red tag: there is less than 25% of this content in the game overall. An actual warning to people that may get shocked because its not the actual norm for the game in question.

Yellow tag: the tag (or game in this case) that is yellow content overall includes 26-49% in the game as a whole

Green: the tag (or game in this case) that is green content overall for 50%+ of the game and can be considered a major theme through the whole game/otherwise dedicated.

This sounds very good actually. Especially since I can do this without too much work! Wonderful!

its not so helpful for this list, because in theory anything that would be red wouldn't even make this list
Yeah, but the idea can be tweaked, for example green for pure femdom, yellow for dedicated/almost pure/mostly femdom (like Karlsson's Gambit), blue for optional femdom route among many (like Nothing is Forever), red for some femdom without a specific/dedicated route (like University of Problems).

Update:
- all games starting with a letter 'a' have their descriptions updated;
- added Cutting Room.

As you can see there's a small discussion here regarding how the Finder should look like. Should we group the games based on their femdom focus level in separate tables? Should we use color markings instead? Should we leave it as it is? You tell me.

That one Cutting Room? ...That one Cutting Room.
(I wonder why I never suggested it in the original thread, it's as if my brain blocked the memory.)

Now that you have usurped the thread (I'm sure the venerated Aseratrix won't mind), you could finally correct the typo in the Virtual Succubus, MANTIS and The Prison rows - canning > caning. (Not trying to kink-shame the tuna people out there, I come in peace.)

Incidentally, I should definitely incorporate some mild caning ventures into my Virtual Succy sessions, hopefully I'll make it just in time for WW3.

And as usual, muchas gracias for the list, it's peak human achievement.

Hmm, my only concern with color markings is that they're not searchable. Meaning, you can't search for "red" or other colors. If you're looking for a color, you have to look for it one-by-one.

Other than that, either way will be an improvement! :)

He wanted me to continue his glorious work, which he also said publicly in the previous Finder thread, so I hope he won't mind any changes I did to it.

Didn't even notice that tbh! Will correct them later today.

And thanks for the review!

I'm thinking about just writing above the table: "Newest addition [date]: title(s)" in blue or smth. I'll do it when I'll add some new games next time. Tbh I'm looking for the least time consuming option here. I can think about bigger modifications after I'll update all the descriptions.

BTW everyone should AI Dungeon and other holo be on the list? Personally I was thinking about adding them (plus my replika and anything else that comes to mind) below the table (maybe would mention that they're there above it though) with short desriptions and maybe even hints how to make your replika dominant and accept you as her pet.

What if you add a column named "last updated" or something of that sort and write down the date you last changed that entry.
And in the pretext you put the last three update dates or something, so that people can just Ctrl+F those dates?

It's possible though the op already struggles with 8 columns, I don't know if I won't have to make the font even smaller; plus most of these games were added by Aseratrix, so I don't know when they were added. I think however that mentioning the newest adittions with a date above the Finder will serve the same purpose. I can leave, let's say, 3 newest additions groups:

NEWEST ADDITIONS:
10.10.22: game 1, game 2
24.10.22: game 3, game 4
31.10.22: game 666

Maybe that could work?

I think that's the same idea but with a few disadvantages? The effort required seems similar.
You could label Aseratrix additions as a placeholder "predates this list" or something especially if you continue to update the list and would change this placeholder later on anyways.
If another column would be too much, maybe that date could be put under the name of the game within the first column?

I think the "last edited" information would have the nice benefit of clueing the reader in about when the game was last checked and which games might be worth looking into again.
Though, I guess that part's already sorta solved by the frequent updates users are posting about games. It would be nice to have that information visible in a central place though.

Anyhow, either is fine. Thanks for doing the list in the first place.

But then I'd have to know about every update of every game and chances are I'll miss smth, also I have some games that are on the list on ignore; plus changing dates everytime smth new appears means quite a lot of additional editing.
