Financial Inflation in games

Do you think fantasy worlds have inflation? I am specifically curious about monster fighting games, where you attain a certain amount of currency when defeating one.
Do you think that would be the main reason for inflation? If so, how high inflation do you think that would be?

Also, I am curious about those "High Threat Areas" like end game areas, do you think something changes?

Inflation from overhunting is a small possibility, would probably be negated by the adventurer guilds who'd control the whole thing through quests.
For example i'd wager very few adventurer's would go hunting without quests, that would probably cost more than they would get from just selling monster parts. High-paying quests is where it would be at.
The harder the quest the higher the pay, and the higher adventurer rank you'd need to try and take it on.
Expensive monster parts would also not drop from low-rank/common monsters anyone can kill.
