Dryads + Blights drop Heartwood, and it's not a very high drop rate. More reliable ways of getting it will show up soon - but the cost for the upgrades will likely get balanced as well making it less of an issue. If it helps, none of Scout's interactions are locked behind upgrades. They are strictly there to improve you brewing. Scout's interactions are unlocked using the Study Desk and (initially) researching the Undead.

Oh this, I hope in the future, some kind of encounter ritual can be added just to increase enemy encounters.

Just wanted to ask what is the missing ?? in the ritual skill tree? Its the only skill I am missing. (except for those unimplemented yet)
You cannot unlock it in the current build, but it'll be available soon. It's very much tied into Scout's quest chain.
There will be more ways to get a hold of materials, but also other ways to engage in the combat mechanics. Boss encounters are being worked on as well.

Allow me a moment to glaze the hell out this game and dev. And preach to you the glory. Game is worth that score. And if you have any love for the way Living With Sister Monochrome plays. This will be right up your alley. Future potential is there. Current potential is there. Future, past, present, 3 seconds ago, it's all there.

The inspiration from the Monochrome Sister is very apparent, yes. A day-to-day life managment sim with a very similar sex mini-game, they even made the game being (mostly) black and white a plot point lmao.
I gave the game a try, it is a very fun game I must admit. I also hope to see where the dev takes the game! I really like the setting, so I hope the dev polishes this project enough to stand on level with others in the genre, like Runaway Girl.
I think the only problem the game has so far is that the grind feels a bit too boring and unrewarding, and that there is only a single song loop with no other sound effects in-game currently lol. Give the different times of day different themes, make the buttons make sound when you click them, and maybe put some moan sounds to the lewd scene and we're talking.

Holy shit! this took me by surprise Never expected this game to be soo-fckin good. Honestly,the Dev should consider removing 'VN' tag from this as that was what made me reluctant to try it. Good thing the previews and summary was captivating enough that I got to play it.

I've finished the research the unded thing, but the quest is not showing as completed, am i missing something or is it just unfinished
No you've just reached the end of the content for that quest in the current version. This week's update will include more for that quest. If something feels missing or incomplete, chances are it is, but I'm working to get everything added as I can.

Thank you so much. I'm really happy people seem to be enjoying it. And the reviews / comments here and on Itch have been really helpful pointing out the areas that need work.
I'll have another update this week, with a big focus on expanding the early relationship with Lucy with more events - and I've got some new art and another NPC. Fall gameplay is in development and shouldn't be too much longer.

This is correct! As soon as I had the cellar up and running, I got the event for her.

+ Gameplay loop is there (feels a bit unrefined, but its still solid)
+ Music (I love the music, really sells the atmosphere)
+ Main girl is cute
- Main girl has no pubes
- Pacing feels kind of off, just all around. Beginning feels slow and overwhelming. Main girl went from completely platonic to dtf in literally 4 nights once I was allowed to finally flirt with her. Enemies went from insane to being a joke to "I sure hope you learned magic"
- Your stats don't appear to actually (at least they dont feel like they actually) impact your daily task yields. Even at 200 in the stat I only felt like I earned more than I had in the beginning with the boon active
Some complaints, but all in all really solid foundation to the game. I can see why its so highly rated.
